The 36-year-old teacher Karan Ellis justifies dating her 15-year-old student and believes she has done nothing wrong and is not a paedophile. In this video I have used a clip from 60 minutes, Australia where Ellis gave a very insightful interview.

The brief of evidence given to the court revealed Ellis had sex with the boy six times in the October and November 2003.

Ellis was a teacher at the school in Melbourne's northern suburbs, where she met the boy. She resigned from the school after a police investigation. Court documents said the boy is now estranged from his family.
