We Lost It at the Movies

Jimmy and Peter head into Hollywood’s treacherous development hell with returning guest Michael Punke, author of The Revenant, and celebrated screenwriter Tab Murphy (Gorillas in the Mist). What begins as a conversation about screenwriting and adaptation opens into something deeper: mountain men, Jeremiah Johnson, the creative power of empty places, and the value of stripping a story down to its bare essentials. Along the way, they kick around the question of whether's America’s independent spirit began with a man in buckskins trying to sell a beaver pelt?
