For Such a Time as This - Feb 6th Pastor Lisa "Before I formed you I knew you" Why? Because God knew he had a purpose for your life. God has a purpose behind everything that you do. You may have a purpose to meet someone in the room today that will help you get somewhere or open the next door or you could help change someone's life. Ester 4:14 - God is raising you up for such a time as this. Your purpose is linked to your obedience. What did Jesus save you and set you free from? Elisha killed the oxen he was tilling the fields with so he didn't have anything to go back to - God had another purpose for him that was different than his current farming career. Faithfulness is the currency of the kingdom - let God work through you to spread it. Do you have a dream that is rooted in the kingdom of God?

You feel convicted about something you're believing that's not rooted in truth when you're not in the Word. Hatred has a spiritual root and can mask itself as a good thing - like you're doing Gods work (AKA Saul having Stephen stoned). Legalism is saying, "where in the bible does it say I cant do this" We are in an information age, not a knowledge / wisdom age. Develop a love for God's word. Knowing God and Knowing of God are two different things. We need a love for Gods presence. Part of loving Jesus is loving people.
