Recently, I’ve Been Thinking About Having More Fun
Recently, I’ve been thinking about fun. Not in the “book a vacation and buy something you’ve been wanting” kind of way, but in the much smaller, stranger ways where life can suddenly become more enjoyable when you start paying attention. I’ve been wanting to experiment with ways to start falling in love with the process of getting to the next thing instead of resenting where I am because I'm not there yet, and I have a sneaky suspicion that fun is a big part of that. So this is me following that thread: A few recent experiments in fun, feeling emotions without letting them lead you, being overstimulated, sunglasses at the gym, learning to fall in love with the process, and learning how to actually enjoy life right now. a cozy little conversation
Esplicito
Recently, I’ve been wondering what it actually means to feel alive — not just alive, but invigorated by being alive. And, perhaps more importantly, how to have more fun. So I’ve been thinking about what brings us into the present moment, what our bodies have to do with it, and what we might be able to learn from people who are much better at having fun than we are... I even asked a group of 2–6 year olds how to have fun (lol). There’s jazz playing in the background, a few thoughts I can’t stop pulling on, and a little reminder that sometimes getting back into life might be as simple as getting back into your body. Grab a warm drink and come have a cozy little conversation with me. Listen here, or watch the accompanying video on YouTube.
