St Brigid’s Day, 1st February, has emerged in recent years as an important occasion to celebrate women’s achievements. It is a new annual national holiday in Ireland, the first to be called after a woman. In honor of this day, the Embassy of Ireland held a panel discussion featuring trailblazing women in Canada: Chancellor Claudette Commanda and Professor Bridget Brownlow.
