Salt
A soldier doesn't bring his own armour from home when he enlists in the army. He is issued with armour. When we surrender our lives to God, He takes us from where we were and makes us part of His kingdom and His family. He gives us a new name, new life, and His armour to wear.
God is already leading and guiding me, so what do I need to do? • Surrender my own understanding • Hand my plans over to God • Follow His Spirit and His Word as guidance
Habitation not just visitation
Psalms 95:6-7 NLT “Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today!”
In short, biblical “light” is less about physical illumination and more about divine reality breaking into human darkness Matthew 5:14-16 NLT “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
You don't have to justify every moment of your life with productivity.
"You are the salt of the earth." You've heard it a thousand times. You think it means a decent, dependable sort of person. It means something far stranger—and far more demanding..
Having a look at the context of familiar scriptures, gives us a different perspective
