"Beyond The Pokedex: Mysteries of The Missing 411"

Esplicito
Welcome back to another captivating episode of "I Came With Fire Podcast"! In this episode we are taking you down a pretty gnarly rabbit hole: The Missing 411. Popularized and coined by David Paulides, The Missing 411 chronicles some odd and downright scary disappearances inside of North America's National Parks and highlights a potential conspiracy in covering up these disappearances and their culprit(s). Tonight's episode begins with Mr. Paulides' venture "The CANAM Project". Named for the nations of Canada and the United States, The CANAM Project seeks to shed light on these disappearances plaguing National Parks within the respective nations. David was first approached about these disappearances by a Park Ranger, who gave him a list of incidents and told him about how the National Park Service was allegedly covering up these disappearances. Seeking to get to the bottom of the problem, David submitted multiple "Freedom Of Information Act" (FOIA) requests but was met with refusals and demands for insurmountable sums of money for the information he was requesting. Tonight, we go over just a few of these eerie disappearances and tell you about why they are so creepy and mysterious. First, there are some odd themes between quite a few of these cases: for many of these disappearances, dog teams are called in to search but are unable to pick up the scents of the missing or lead Search and Rescue (SAR) teams to locations that make no sense. In one case, a set of dogs led SAR teams to a cliff face. Thinking these dogs made a mistake, the SAR team brought in another set of dogs who repeated the actions of the first...leading them to a sheer cliff face. Another theme is that when someone's remains or belongings are found, they are typically found in an area already covered by SAR teams. Furthermore, these remains or belongings are found seemingly placed in manners as if the missing person simply set their items down and wandered away into nothingness. In a wide range of those who's remains are found, the same type of bodily remains are recovered. The skull caps and teeth are left behind. What is causing these odd disappearances? Why is there seemingly a conspiracy to hide information about these missing persons? Why do many of these people go missing mere feet from their camping/hiking groups? And why are some National Park Rangers claiming they're encouraged to dissuade search efforts for the missing? Check this episode out if you love a good spook, have an interest in the strange and macabre, and definitely before you go on that hike into your nearest National Park. "Do What Makes You Happy" with Dan Schilling, US Army/Air Force Special Operations Officer & Author

Esplicito
Dan Schilling is absolutely what you would call a Renaissance Man. One of his mantras is "Reinvent Yourself"--and that is exactly what Dan does. You see, Dan is no ordinary person, at least to us (and thousands of others). At the beginning of his 30 year military career, Dan made the choice to join the US Army as an Infantryman. He then found out how cool "Pro Pay" was, along with just how much of a badass you get to be as an Air Force Special Operations Combat Controller, and then made the best decision of his life: to switch branches and join the US Air Force. Dan made it through the rigorous Combat Controller pipe-line and came out on the other side ready to take on the world. All that aside, Dan is one of the most humble and down to Earth people we've ever talked to. His words are rife with wisdom, intelligence, and humor. Have you ever seen the movie "Black Hawk Down"? A lot of people have. Long story short, it chronicles the men on Operation Gothic Serpent, where multiple Black Hawk helicopters were downed in the Somalian city of Mogadishu, and a daring operation to tag a violent warlord became a thing of legend. Dan was there, as a US Air Force Special Tactics Officer (Combat Controller). And NO ONE on the field of battle, since the beginning of human warfare, is more lethal than a US Air Force Combat Controller. Dan has also stood up multiple Special Operations Squadrons, commanded them, and retired as Lieutenant Colonel. This snapshot of Dan's military career, as he would say, are just "things I did, not who I am". After reading a couple of his books and spending two hours talking with him, its easy to see what he means. As you may have guessed, Dan is also an author--and a damn good one. His most acclaimed book is "Alone At Dawn: Medal of Honor Recipient John Chapman and the Untold Story of the World's Deadliest Special Operations Force", a book detailing the life of Air Force Master Sergeant (MSgt) John Chapman, Medal of Honor Recipient and Hero and also the tale of the most unsung Special Operators ever. You can find "Alone At Dawn" and Dan's other books wherever books are sold. We cannot recommend them enough. When Dan isn't absolutely hauling ass down the side of a mountain wearing a pair of skis and a parachute, he spends his time helping the military community understand what resilience looks like, is working on a screenplay, working towards making a movie about MSgt John Chapman, and coming on podcasts with a couple Air Force dudes (us, of course). Yes, you read that right too...skis and a parachute. Apparently, for Dan, sky-diving is too boring now. I guess when you're the World Record Holder for most base jumps, that makes sense. Dan won't admit it, but he is a giant amongst men and we will be forever grateful he decided to spend a couple hours talking to us on this episode. Don't miss this one...it really may change your life. "Do Your Job" with Air Force Special Ops Combat Controller CMSgt Rob Gutierrez

Esplicito
In this episode of I Came With Fire, get ready to be inspired as we delve into the remarkable career of Chief Master Sergeant (CMSgt) Robert Gutierrez, US Air Force Special Operations Combat Controller (CCT)--a true hero in the world of Air Force Special Operations. We explore the vivid details of Rob's experiences as a Combat Controller, his valiant actions through numerous life-threatening operations, and his being awarded the Air Force Cross, an award second only to the Congressional Medal of Honor. As a CMSgt, Chief Gutierrez stands at the pinnacle of the enlisted ranks, showcasing his exceptional leadership and expertise. His career as a Combat Controller has been nothing short of awe-inspiring, marked by relentless dedication, and an indomitable spirit. We discuss the mission where Chief Gutierrez found himself gravely wounded, facing a dire situation that would test his resolve like never before. He recounts the harrowing moments of having his collapsed lung decompressed (twice!), and still summoning the strength to call in danger close Close-In Air Support (CAS), saving the lives of everyone around him and destroying the enemy. Chief Gutierrez's mental fortitude in doing his job under unimaginable circumstances is a testament to his unparalleled bravery and dedication to duty. We also take a step back in time as Chief Gutierrez shares his personal journey to joining the Air Force. Inspired by the devastation of September 11, 2001, Chief Gutierrez literally quit his job checking electrical meters (without a back-up plan), immediately found an Air Force Recruiter, and began training to enter Air Force Special Warfare as a Combat Controller. Chief Gutierrez discusses the challenges faced by candidates in the CCT and Pararescue Jumper (PJ) pipelines and emphasizes that the success in these pipelines goes beyond physical strength or prowess; it demands determination, willpower, and GRIT. Just because you may be the strongest person or the fastest runner, does not mean you have what it takes to make it through the training pipeline. Chief Gutierrez points out that the high attrition rates in the selection process are a testament to the demanding nature of the pipeline, providing the lethal exclusivity of Air Force Special Warfare. The guys also touch on how CCT fits into the "future fight", exploring the differences between the United States and peer adversaries like the Chinese. American innovation, combat experience, resilience, and breaking the will of our enemies, are discussed. Wrapping up the conversation, the guys discuss the importance of every role in the AF, patience when learning how to execute tasks, and the significance of teamwork and contribution. Georgia Guidestones- "Roadmap to Apocalypse"

Brandon and Zach deep dive on the mysterious conspiracies and little known facts surrounding the Georgia Guidestones! Purported to be a monument with a message of harmony and peace left for future generations, the Guidestones have only engendered questions and, in some, fear.Commissioned by a mysterious stranger going only by the pseudonym "Robert C. Christian", the Guidestones would become the center of massive amounts of speculation, mystery, and sinister conspiracy. With alleged ties to secret societies, some with origins rooted in Ancient Babylon and Egypt, the Guidestones list 10 "guidelines", written in 8 languages, meant to aid humanity in balancing its presence with nature and the infinite. Oddly enough, among the list of languages on the monument is "Cuneiform"--a dead language used by the people of Ancient Sumer and no longer used today. Some of the guidelines seem fairly harmless and even suggest logical solutions to real problems, such as "Avoid petty laws and useless officials." On the surface, one can acknowledge that justice is essential to a free society and who likes nonsensical laws and bureaucrats? However, other guidelines such as, "Maintain humanity under 500 million in perpetual balance with nature." or "Unite humanity with a living new language." and "Guide reproduction wisely - improving fitness and diversity." have downright genocidal and eugenic implications. With potential links to some of histories most conspiratorial and secret societies like the "Rosicrucians", "Freemasons", and "Bohemian Grove", its no wonder the Georgia Guidestones have garnered so much negative attention. What do its cryptic guidelines actually mean? What does American Founding Father Thomas Paine have to do with any of this? What does the phrase "Age of Reason" imply? And why, in July of 2022, did someone blow the monument up, leaving it to be officially demolished by a bulldozer the next day, with no arrests made in the subsequent domestic terrorism investigation?Brandon and Zach take you deep on their discussion, offering their opinion on some of the evidence and what it may actually mean. But, remember, not everything that hides in the shadows is willing to be discovered. You can find "I Came With Fire Podcast" on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Instagram, and Facebook. "After Fire Embersode: Israel At War"

Bonus
Esplicito
"I Came With Fire Podcast's" first ever "After Fire Embersode"! In these "Embersodes", Zach & Brandon do an instant react to the conversation they just had on the full episode. They give insight not mentioned on the full episode, discuss other relevant topics, and give candid thoughts and opinions on the topic at hand and the way the conversation went down. No episode is scripted, but every episode is planned with a template in mind with how each conversation could go. These "Embersodes" are completely raw, unfiltered, and without any guidelines. This is just Brandon & Zach at their best. In this one, the guys discuss the now famous photo of Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, seated in what appears to be a SCIF, looking defeated and tired. The photo described now, perhaps not so hyperbolically, as "The first man to know about World War III". Brandon & Zach also discuss they conversation with Christopher Messina on the previous "Special Release" episode and give further thoughts to the global climate at hand. These "Embersodes" won't always come out after a full episode, so when you see one...don't miss it! Let us know what you think about these smaller shows and whether you want them more or less often! As always, thank you so much for listening!
