I Came With Fire
di Brandon GreshamStagione 2

In this episode, Brandon interviews Luis Espindola, a United States Marine Corps veteran, small business owner, and 2024 House of Representatives candidate for Texas' 27th Congressional District. Luis discusses his motivation for running for Congress and his focus on bringing change to the political system. He emphasizes the need for term limits and discusses his proposed "Money Where Your Mouth Is Act". This act would require members of the House and Senate to spend 20 hours throughout their elected term working alongside Border Patrol agents and an additional 20 hours embedded with law enforcement in their respective districts. The intent is so that policy makers understand the true situation at America's southern border and what law enforcement officers go through within the communities they represent. The conversation also covers the importance of public service, the need for experience and service in politics, the lack of trust in politicians, the divisiveness of political parties, the role of media in polarization, the need for younger representation, and the importance of financial literacy. To wrap it up, Luis highlights the ability to let go of power in government and how more politicians need to adopt this mindset. He also shares how his faith plays a significant role in his life and how it has helped him overcome insecurities. Luis emphasizes the need for open conversations about race and the importance of seeing beyond racial differences. He also discusses the implications of UFO disclosure and concludes with a call to action for listeners to get involved in the political process. _________________________________________ ICWF Podcast is sponsored by "Skull & Crossbeans Coffee", a veteran owned, small batch roasted coffee company. "New Year, Same Guys" Popcorn Podcast 6
You already know the drill! This is Popcorn Podcast #6. Brandon and Zach jump in on various topics including the newly released Epstein files and how the scandal is not the "red-line" for a call-to-action that so many people have hoped it would be. Zach hits Brandon up about what he'll miss the most after almost 2 decades in Air Force, so naturally the dudes complain about the Finance Office and reminisce about all the amazing friends and ridiculous shenanigans they've gotten into. What is the ketchup packet game? What happened to MH370? Why were our ancient ancestors so enamored with the night sky? Just how scary are Orcas? And a ton of crazy stories about military service and the half-wits in uniform we came to love. All that and more in this latest installment of Popcorn Podcast, "New Year, Same Guys". ______________________________ ICWF Podcast is sponsored by "Skull & Crossbeans Coffee", a veteran owned, small batch roasted coffee company. The definition of an "act of war" is intentionally vague. The old saying that "war never changes" is challenged as technology becomes increasingly complex. Cyber attacks can render physical infrastructure useless and Artificial Intelligence confuses people every day--how do we redefine "acts of war" in our modern era? Is the United States already in the midst of a "Cold Civil War"? In this episode, Brandon and Zach discuss the concept of an act of war and how it is currently defined. They explore the process of declaring war and the role of the United Nations in international conflicts. The guys also delve into the "Authorization for Use of Military Force" and the "War Powers Resolution". Furthermore, they emphasize the importance of deterrence and what the United States' role is as a global superpower. Additionally, they outline the eight preconditions for the use of deadly force and discuss cyber attacks on national critical infrastructure. This part of the conversation focuses on ransomware attacks, the impact of the "Colonial Pipeline" attack, appropriate responses to cyber attacks, probing and cyber attacks as acts of war, national preparedness for cyber attacks and national infrastructure disruptions. Brandon & Zach use the "Stuxnet" worm attack on Iran as an example for how physically destructive cyber attacks can be and exhibit Chinese spyware on US military laptops as a reason the US Military needs to practice better self-preservation. This part of the conversation explores the topics of nation-state espionage, vulnerabilities in cybersecurity, and the need for defining acts of war in cyberspace. The guys also discuss the SolarWinds ransomware attack within the US Government and the potential impact of AI in warfare. Zach and Brandon discuss "Rules of Engagement" and the "Use of Force", as well as the restrictions on social media use in the military. They discuss concerns about the use of TikTok and its potential impact on national security. The conversation then shifts to the concept of a "Cold Civil War" in the United States, where the two major political parties are at odds with each other while the American people are used as pawns. Lastly, they emphasize the importance of being prepared and the need to "Fortify all Fronts" in order to be ready for any situation. ______________________________ ICWF Podcast is sponsored by "Skull & Crossbeans Coffee", a veteran owned, small batch roasted coffee company. They delve into the strange ending of the podcast and the lack of information about Jesse Carey's whereabouts. They also explore the creepy rituals of Bohemian Grove and the lack of social media presence from Jesse Carey. "Not Your Average Joe" with Joe "Jody" Daniels
We welcome to the show Joe "Jody" Daniels, a US Air Force Veteran of the Cold War and like Brandon & Zach, a military policeman. When you use the colloquial term "Renaissance Man", Jody is the embodiment of that sentiment. As Seneca the Younger, the Stoic philosopher, once said: "Man's ideal state is realized when he has fulfilled the purpose for which he is born. And what is it that reason demands of him? Something very easy-that he live in accordance with his own nature." In modernity, this quote is about men like Jody, whose principles stand under pressure, who understands that the obstacle is the path, and hard work leads to freedom. In this episode, the guys sit down and discuss Jody's life, what he's accomplished, and what he still has left on the table. The prevailing conversation turns to American nihilism and first world comforts corrupting minds, bodies, and lifestyles. We discuss the hypocrisy of our modern society, how its eroding the strengths at the core of American principles, and what we need to do to get back on the path. Don't miss this fantastic conversation on real, American issues, blazing your own path, and being grateful for the opportunity to show up and just DO. Matt Against The Mandate with Matthew Harris (USAF)
We welcome to the show Matthew Harris, a US Air Force Security Forces Member (Military Police) and friend of both Brandon & Zach. Like so many other military members across the DoD, Matt had questions and concerns when, a few years ago, the DoD demanded its members receive the jab or face separation from service. For many service members, the decision to get it was simple and many did as they were asked. Yet, for a small number, the demand did not make sense. It seemed more politically charged than what was medically best. More importantly, it went against their morals and values. During the period of time where Matt was standing up for his beliefs and trying to navigate through his decision to refuse, he was consistently cut down, told he was a bad person and poor leader, told he was harming the mission, and all in all was "othered" as so often happens when people go against the flow. We thank Matt so much for joining us, sharing the journey he was on, why he refused, what it was like dealing with condescending unit leadership during this time, why he believes in what he did, and what got him through it. We certainly believe in Matt and are proud to call him a friend and a brother, not just in arms, but as family. Matt's story is so important and exhibits what it means to stand up and look adversity in the face. Listen to Matt's story and understand what happened from not just a unique perspective, but from the perspective of someone with steadfast mental and moral fortitude. "Apes Together Strong" with "Troop" Co-Founder Felix Tabary
Brandon sits down with Felix Tabary, Co-Founder of activist investment group "Troop". The power divide between the everyday investor and corporate C-Suite executives is as wide as the Grand Canyon. Troop is changing the landscape on Shareholder Activism by bringing awareness to proxy voting advisory and leveling the playing field. Troop aims to band together small investors and reshape the trajectory of investment toward a shift in power back into the hands of you and I. Many are unaware of the rights and capabilities they have when they go to invest. Information on how you can interact, how you can vote, and what you have a say in are all things often not realized and intentionally obfuscated. Band together, fight back through investment activism and remember...Apes Together Strong.
