The Role of Indigenous Spirituality in Higher Education with Dr. Blair Stonechild
In Session: Conversations on teaching in higher education di The Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning
Note sull'episodio
In this episode I have a conversation with Dr. Blair Stonechild. Dr. Stonechild is a professor in Indigenous Studies at First Nations University in Regina, Saskatchewan. Our conversation is framed by his book, Challenge to Civilization: Indigenous Wisdom and the Future. Dr. Stonechild shares his views on how Indigenous Spirituality can impact teaching and research in universities. Blair shares his journey in education, including being a residential school survivor. He challenges civilization and the pinnacle of what we have produced. This was a very enjoyable conversation for me, and I feel that Blair brings a valuable perspective to the conversation of how we move forward in the academy.
