Your workplace is part of your calling. Your job is not simply where you earn money; it is a place where God can use your integrity, wisdom, excellence, and faith to influence others. Like Daniel, believers should live with such strong character that their work can withstand scrutiny. Our everyday faithfulness can prepare us to become useful when difficult situations arise.
Faith is meant to move us. Jesus’ story of the great supper shows how easily reasonable things like work, family, and responsibilities can become excuses for not obeying God. Faith saves us, but it also sends us. We are called to go to God, walk with others through hardship, and keep growing. Like the Moravian missionaries who stepped onto a ship without knowing exactly what the future would bring, daring faith does not require certainty about the outcome, it requires willingness to obey.
