From Caregiver to Coach: Finding Balance and Identity with Kat Mitchell

From Caregiver Burnout to Healing: Kat Mitchell on Reiki, Hypnotherapy, NLP & putting yourself first I got the honor to welcome Kat Mitchell to the I Got It Girl podcast to discuss how the “I got it” mindset can lead to overwhelm, anxiety, and burnout, and how surrender, support, and healing tools can help. Kat shares her caregiving journey from 2015–2024, including caring for a cousin with end-stage liver disease, making end-of-life decisions, later supporting her dad, then navigating her mom’s Alzheimer’s/dementia and her brother’s multiple strokes while rebuilding neural pathways and learning to meet people where they are. She also describes losing her partner in 2021, moving without income, breaking her right arm, and adapting day-by-day with prayer and new systems. Kat explains how these experiences led her to meditation, Reiki, hypnotherapy, and NLP, and how she now helps women learn to put themselves first and redefine identity after caretaking. 00:00 Welcome and Reiki Intro 00:44 The I Got It Girl Trap 01:30 Caregiving Begins 02:17 Jackie’s Dementia Story 03:38 Nine Years of Care 04:20 Cousin’s End of Life 05:52 Dad Then Mom and Brother 07:39 Stroke Recovery and Brainwork 09:36 Duality Turns to Triple 12:09 Prayer and Forced Surrender 15:33 No Job and Finding Housing 17:19 Hard Money Lifeline 18:30 Caretaker Burnout Injury 20:12 Fine Isn’t Fine 22:17 One Arm New Systems 23:39 Leaving Caregiver Identity 25:01 Rebuilding Self Balance 30:06 Who Am I Now 31:21 Healing Work Offerings 34:51 Final Takeaway Goodbye You can connect with Kat Mitchell with the following links: https://api.leadconnectorhq.com/widget/bookings/connect-call-30minutes https://linktr.ee/kat_mitchell For all things Coach Jackie click here https://destinymakers.net/links You will find access to all my programs, freebies, and ways to create your freedom life!

Breaking Free from Corporate Chains with Jenelle Ingram

From Corporate to Unemployable: Owning Your Power with Jenelle (Jen) Ingram Coach Jackie welcomes longtime friend and fellow podcaster Jenelle (Jen) Ingram, a business identity coach who helps women leave their “corporate girl era” and turn side hustles into full-time businesses. They discuss the push-pull between safety and risk, how women are taught to soften or hide directness, and the difference between empathy and self-abandonment. Jenelle shares insights from a friendship breakup, the importance of radical responsibility, and how corporate environments can train women to filter themselves. They explore control, trust, and the need for a catalyst—often anger or dissatisfaction—to create change, including Jenelle’s realization that taking back control required transforming her health and self-trust. Jenelle describes her current transition into consulting work while building her coaching impact, and shares Her Seat Collective events and retreats. 00:00 Welcome and Introductions 01:48 Meet Jenelle Ingram 02:23 Corporate to Unemployable 05:16 Stop Being Polite 07:23 Directness and Self Abandonment 10:16 Radical Responsibility 12:10 Triggers and Empathy Balance 16:37 Control and the I Got Girl 19:03 When Others Control You 20:02 Weight as Armor 21:26 The Fighter Identity 23:39 Numbing and Control 24:36 Creating a Catalyst 28:22 Radical Self Honesty 30:02 Choosing Discomfort 32:42 Next Chapter for Jenelle 36:33 Allowing Life to Unfold 39:05 Where to Find Jenelle 40:22 Believe in You You find all things Jenelle Ingram here: https://linktr.ee/jeningramcoaching For all things Coach Jackie click here https://destinymakers.net/links You will find access to all my programs, freebies, and ways to create your freedom life!

From Invisible to Invincible: Karen Rae's Journey of Self-Empowerment

From “I Got It” to Letting Go: Over-Functioning, Feeling Invisible & Being Brave with Karen Rae In this episode I have the honor of interviewing my dear friend and peer, Karen Rae, the owner of FAVE and the Being Brave tour. We explore how “I got it” can show up as control, over-functioning, and taking on others’ feelings, and how surrender, trust, and receiving can create deeper connections. Karen shares that during her divorce she realized she felt “invisible” in her own life, prompting tears, self-reflection, and a long, layered process of awareness, and taking responsibility for herself rather than carrying everyone else. They discuss letting people make their own choices, the exhaustion of doing it all alone, and rediscovering the vibrant, fearless self that can get buried. Karen shares a free downloadable Being Brave Tour magazine and supporting podcast that both offer short reflections, prompts, exercises, and ways to connect with fellow featured brave women. 00:00 Welcome and Guest Intro 01:01 Being Brave and I Got It Girl 03:26 Control vs Surrender 04:51 Overfunctioning and Divorce 06:27 The Invisible Moment 09:36 Awareness and Letting Go 12:24 Pause Assess Respond 14:55 Welcome Back Vibrancy 16:23 Reclaiming Childlike Creativity 17:27 Nature and Community Lessons 18:20 Unmasked Mini Reflections 19:08 Free Magazine Highlights 20:58 Podcast Companion Series 22:00 Women With Wealth Vision 22:57 You Are Not Alone 23:58 Dropping the Do It All 27:30 Letting Go With Kids 30:42 Empty Nest Identity Shift 32:22 Where to Find Karen 33:34 Allow Yourself to Receive 34:07 Final Thanks and Subscribe You can find Karen and her Free offer here: Direct link to Being Brave Magazine - Jackie Cote feature: https://heyzine.com/flip-book/e318e40780.html www.favelifestyles.app https://www.facebook.com/groups/1376732479321793 For all things Coach Jackie click here https://destinymakers.net/links You will find access to all my programs, freebies, and ways to create your freedom life!

Navigating Life's Challenges with Trust and Travel with Sandy Colling

From Rock Bottom to World Travel: Sandy’s Letting Go Story In this episode I get to hang out with Sandy, a trilingual world traveler originally from Germany who has been to 39 countries and now runs “Just Travel with Sandy,” leads group tours, and wrote a book about how travel shaped her life. Sandy shares her “I Got it Girl” turning point of leaving her marriage after spending 28 years with an alcoholic husband. When he threatened their teenage daughter, Sandy asked him to leave and was quickly evicted while being financially dependent and forced to start her life over. She describes hitting rock bottom, food stamps, odd jobs, giving up her horses, yet feeling happier than she was while rebuilding for her kids. Later realizing that she stayed for the kids but staying “for the children” can harm them more than help them. Sandy credits her new life to a deep spiritual practice, Dr. David Hawkins’ “Letting Go” book, and trusting that life happens for us, not to us. Sandy explains how she pivoted into full-time travel advising after losing her job and is now doing what she truly loves and it never feels like work. 00:00 Welcome and Guest Intro 00:45 Sandy Background and Passions 02:49 Podcast Theme I Got Girl 04:00 Marriage Breaking Point 05:21 Reinventing at Rock Bottom 09:20 Staying for the Kids Myth 12:14 Identity and Financial Independence 13:15 Spiritual Practice Letting Go 16:20 Radical Responsibility and PAR 19:33 No Perfect Self Care Routine 21:29 Morning Coffee Ritual 22:40 Coffee Origins and Palate 23:38 Mushroom Coffee and Caffeine Sensitivity 25:16 From Traveler to Travel Advisor 27:27 Turning Gifts Into Income 28:46 Pressure Versus Pleasure 29:52 Surrender and Letting Energy Flow 32:27 EU Flight Compensation Story 33:43 Non Attachment and Minimalism 34:38 Trust the Process Takeaway 37:18 Letting Go and Feeling Feelings 38:08 Where to Find Sandy 39:27 Final Thanks and Subscribe You can find and follow Sandy Colling with the following link: https://bio.justtravelwithsandy.com/home908934 For all things Coach Jackie click here https://destinymakers.net/links You will find access to all my programs, freebies, and ways to create your freedom life!

Embrace the Power of Your Story: Insights from a Broadcast Veteran with Laurie Hardie

In this episode of the I Got It Girl podcast, I get the honor to interview Laurie Hardie, who inspired me to start podcasting as a way to share stories and remind women they don’t have to carry everything alone. Laurie reflects on her “I Got it Girl” years as a single mom without support, the pressure of unrealistic expectations, and learning to let go in small ways, like accepting a sock basket and dishes in the sink without shame. We discuss coaching and the importance of deep listening, reflection on our Enneagram number, the “helper” (and its unhealthy patterns), and how control and survival can block deeper love and connection. Laurie shares her path from radio to paid radio shows, writing a book, navigating being an empty nester and community loss. She now is helping women launch podcasts by empowering them on how to do it themselves and grow successfully. She closed on how storytelling is your legacy and speaking the truth without attachment and knowing you are making a difference. 00:00 Welcome and Inspiration 01:08 Why Coaches Need Podcasts 02:12 Laurie’s Single Mom Story 04:00 Enneagram Two Lessons 05:38 Jackie’s Helper Shadow 08:01 Survival and Control 10:29 Letting Go Starts Small 13:14 Empty Nest Shift 14:58 Believe Versus Lie 16:25 Rewriting the Inner Story 18:26 Teaching Clients to Fish 19:11 Presence Over Presents 20:04 Coaching Is Listening 21:10 Back to Radio 21:46 Talk Like One Person 23:14 Power of One Story 23:56 Free Content Builds Trust 26:12 Where to Find Laurie 28:25 Story as Legacy 30:15 Detach From Results 32:05 Why Stories Work 32:50 Closing Thanks and Subscribe You find and follow up with Laurie at http://www.coachlaurie.com For all things Coach Jackie click here https://destinymakers.net/links You will find access to all my programs, freebies, and ways to create your freedom life!

From Hiding to Blossoming: The Empowerment Journey with Jennifer Nichols

In this I Got It Girl podcast episode I get to shine the light on my business peer and dear friend Jennifer Nichols, who shares how a lifetime of coping alone, shaped by being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at eight and managing family crises including her father’s illness and death, fed an “I Got it Girl” mentality that made it hard to ask for help. Jennifer recounts a traumatic period beginning in 2010 when she was harassed and effectively stalked by a man, leading to fear, isolation, business shutdown, court involvement, and a moment where others finally stepped in to support her, including getting a protective order. She explains how surrendering control, speaking up, and accepting help helped her reclaim her voice and power, and how the experience led her to build an accidental social media business focused on simplifying marketing and helping others stop hiding. The key message: don’t be silent!! 00:00 Welcome and Guest Intro 00:39 Jennifer Takes the WTF Out 01:22 Hat Talk and Personality 02:24 What I Got It Girl Means 03:56 We Can Ask for Help 05:07 Diabetes and Early Independence 05:51 Dad Illness and Protector Mode 08:49 Dad Death and Taking Charge 10:04 Divorce and Stalking Begins 11:46 Harassment and Holding It In 14:08 Outed and Community Steps Up 16:16 Surrender and Receiving Support 18:43 Stop Saying Im Fine 19:21 Fine Means What 20:07 Finding Your Voice 22:28 Fear And Power Back 23:11 Radical Responsibility 26:11 Survival Mechanisms 28:48 Asking For Help 30:00 Business Born From Hiding 32:33 Showing Up Online 35:27 Dont Be Silent 38:08 Final never put your Glow On Low You can find and connect with Jennifer Nichols at: Website: www.bloomandhustle.com Linkedin: www.linkedin.com/in/jennifernicholsbusack Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bloomandhustle/ For all things Coach Jackie click here https://destinymakers.net/links You will find access to all my programs, freebies, and ways to create your freedom life!

Finding Ease: The Art of Letting Go and Trusting the Journey with Veronica Norwood

Finding Ease: The Art of Letting Go and Trusting the Journey with Veronica Norwood Today we interview Veronica Norwood, a longtime hairdresser and entrepreneur with experience in home-based and network marketing businesses who now focuses on coaching, team building, and transformations. Veronica shares how her coaching often shifts from “doing” in business to “being,” helping clients remove internal blocks through self-love practices like mirror work so outer results can flow more easily. Jackie and Veronica discuss how business is “20% strategy and 80% mindset,” and how inner work can improve multiple areas such as relationships, health, and finances. Veronica explains her own shift from control and resistance to trust and receiving, which contributed to meeting a partner through online dating and feeling safer than ever in a relationship, while learning to self-soothe triggers with reminders like “you’re safe.” They cover tools for navigating chaotic “gap” moments—breathing, tapping, meditation, journaling, supportive relationships—and the importance of practicing regulation skills before crises. Veronica closes with lessons from bodybuilding about the mind-muscle connection, presence, accepting a new identity, and remembering you’re a master creator. 00:00 Warm Welcome 00:25 Meet Veronica 02:07 Coaching Breakthroughs 03:47 Business to Being 05:50 Letting Go Control 09:00 New Relationship Ease 13:15 Receiving and Rewiring 19:20 Tools for the Gap 23:17 Start Simple Practices 25:58 Where to Find Veronica 26:44 Final Tip Be Present 29:09 Closing Goodbye For all thing Veronica Norwood click here For all things Coach Jackie click here

Trusting the Journey and Discovering Personal Freedom with Shawna Rasch

Trusting the Journey and Discovering Personal Freedom with Shawna Rasch In this episode I get to interview my friend and longtime client Shawna Rasch from Houston, Texas about her seven-year personal development journey. Shawna shares how hearing about life coaching at a work conference led her to work with her first coach who helped her recognize that her intense need for control that was rooted in a chaotic childhood, was driving burnout, strained relationships, and 60+ hour workweeks. Through coaching, parts work, and learning to set boundaries and say no, she began healing and experiencing major shifts in her marriage and relationships with her children. In 2022, despite fear and no job lined up, Shawna resigned from a role she once planned to retire from, moved into flexible contract work in her own consulting business, Rasch Innovative Solutions, and later launched her nonprofit Biscuits Cat Haven and invites listeners to connect and donate to her mission. 00:00 Welcome and Meet Shawna 01:02 How Coaching Found Her 05:06 Control and Career Pressure 08:09 The Alignment Question 10:16 First Year of Coaching 11:34 Control as a Safety Mechanism 13:14 Parts Work and Inner Safety 16:00 Growth Spiral and Old Coping 20:41 Stepping Into Entrepreneurship 22:01 Boundaries And Alignment 22:59 Leaving The W2 25:02 Fire Over Fear 26:41 Finding The Next Path 28:20 Building A New Role 30:36 Support Through The Gap 32:42 Healing Ripples Outward 34:28 Investing In Yourself 37:30 Connect And Donate If you would like to contact Shawna directly about her consulting company you can reach her at solutions@raschinnovativesolutions.com Here is everything Biscuits Cat Haven if you would like to follow their mission and donate if possible. https://www.facebook.com/biscuitscathaven/ https://www.instagram.com/biscuitscathaven/ https://www.tiktok.com/@biscuits.cat.haven https://www.biscuitscathaven.com For all things Coach Jackie click here You will find access to all my programs, freebies, and ways to create your freedom life!

Reinvention, Human Design & The Rules Aren’t Real with Meghan Stockman

From Survival Mode to Self-Trust: Meghan Stockman on Reinvention, Human Design & The Rules Aren’t Real Jackie welcomes Meghan Stockman to the I Got It Girl podcast to discuss Meghan’s reinvention path—from Air Force weather and space weather forecaster to aerial photographer, to creating Kid Space (a STEM-focused indoor playground with a planetarium and espresso café), and now coaching high-achieving women. Meghan shares how COVID shutdowns and $50,000/month overhead pushed her from intuitive trust into hyper-control, anxiety, and “forecasting” worst-case scenarios, leaving her nervous system depleted even after Kid Space rebounded with its best year in 2023. She explains how returning to the present moment and using tools like human design helped her reconnect to her natural operating style, stop looking externally for answers, and rebuild self-trust. Meghan outlines her “four core stories” method for identifying the narratives that block intuition and change, emphasizing her key message: the rules aren’t real—and you can unlock the cage you’ve built. 00:00 Welcome to the Podcast 00:41 Meghan’s Many Lives 01:29 Creating Kid Space 02:20 How They Met 03:41 COVID and Control Mode 08:08 Survival Stress and Recovery 13:38 Coaching and Human Design 16:45 Permission to Be You 20:06 Four Core Stories Method 24:14 Rules Aren’t Real 25:35 Final Takeaways and Where to Find Meghan You can find Meghan at the following links: www.meghanstockman.com https://linktr.ee/meghanstockman For all things Coach Jackie click here You will find access to all my programs, freebies, and ways to create your freedom life!

Bisi MacGregor on Awakening the Liberated Woman: Outgrowing the “Should” Path, Trusting Inner Knowing & Building Fear Freedom In this podcast conversation, the Jackie interviews Bisi MacGregor—founder of Fear Freedom and creator of the Live More Fearless methodology—about helping women who have built a good life create a great one by stopping overthinking through life coaching, mindset coaching, and mentorship. Bisi shares her concept of the “Liberated woman,” shaped by growing up in Nigeria within a prescribed path for children and women, and explains how choosing her own path created ongoing family tension. She describes leaving a 22-year corporate finance career in 2019 to build her coaching business, discusses how inner knowing gets quiet under social “normal” pressures and fear of loss, and defines “outgrown” as when an old life can’t hold the new you.
