From Corporate to Quantum: AnaMaria Davalos on Reinvention

In this intimate conversation, Annie—an Ecuadorian-born organizational psychologist, consultant, and mindset mentor—shares how a career in corporate behavior and team building evolved into purpose-driven leadership and healing work. She explains why the Birkman Method became a cornerstone of her early practice, how the question “Where does it hurt?” reveals a leader’s growth edge, and how integrating purpose (the Big Why) shifts companies beyond profits toward meaningful outcomes. Annie opens up about panic and anxiety attacks, cancer (early 2000s), losing her savings in 2016, divorce, an earthquake, and starting over in the U.S. at 50—and how faith, hope, daily practices, and community helped her rebuild. She also demystifies quantum healing (breath, intention, and heart coherence), and the art-as-meditation process she now co-facilitates with Loli and filmmaker Maclovia Martel in the I AM workshops and retreats. Themes of flow, frequency, values, and team synergy run throughout, with practical insight for C-suite leaders and anyone navigating reinvention. If you’re curious about blending science, leadership, spirituality, and creativity—this one’s for you. Art in Motion: How Filmmaker Maclovia Martel Turns Life Into Documentary Magic

Welcome to our I AM Workshop Conversation Series — a transformative journey designed to inspire self-discovery and ignite your creative spirit — with your hosts AnaMaria Davalos, Maria Lanas, and Maclovia Martell. In this heartfelt episode, our guest Maclovia Martell — filmmaker, artist, educator, and documentarian — shares her creative and spiritual journey. Born into an artistic family where her grandfather was a post-impressionist painter and her mother, Carmen Gutierrez (“Carmen G”), was the first Mexican woman to perform on Broadway, Maclovia discovered suitcases filled with her mother’s forgotten photographs — a discovery that inspired her first documentary, later screened at Lincoln Center. From there, she went on to create award-winning short films, collaborate on international projects including the Space for Art Foundation, and explore how art, energy, and healing intertwine. Maclovia also recounts a profound spiritual awakening that transformed her outlook on creativity, teaching, and life — leading her to embrace journaling, manifesting, meditation, and the universal flow of energy as part of her daily practice. Together, we talk about ego and authenticity, the vulnerability of being an artist, and how to trust the creative process as a sacred act. This conversation is a journey through legacy, transformation, and the frequency of love — reminding us that art and spirit are simply two expressions of the same creative source. 🎧 Tune in to rediscover the power of creativity as healing, intuition as guidance, and flow as the language of the soul.
