Note sull'episodio
I finished this song while waiting in the pet emergency hospital.
The great controversy is a battle for the heart and mind. From Eden to the final conflict, the enemy has sought to influence us through what we see, hear, think upon, and cherish. “Guard the Avenues of Your Soul” is a call to guard these avenues, hide God’s Word in our hearts, and walk daily with the Holy Spirit.
The time to prepare is now. Let no sight, sound, temptation, or deception turn you from the Word of God. Fix your eyes on Christ, follow the Lamb, and remain faithful until He comes. And when the final test arrives, take your stand upon God’s truth—and having done all, STAND!

GUARD THE AVENUES OF YOUR SOUL Lyrics by Zeres Vitto Copyright 2026 Zeres Vitto. All rights reserved. [Verse 1 — Eden’s Fall] God had spoken; truth was clear, Eve gave ear to serpent’s voice. She saw, desired, and took the fruit, Turning from the Word of God. Adam ate, though not deceived; Through his sin, death entered in. Eden warns us still today: Guard your heart; choose God’s way. [Chorus 1 — Guard the Soul] Guard the avenues of your soul! Guard what you see and what you hear! Guard the thoughts you let remain; Hide God’s Word within your heart. What you cherish shapes your choice; Listen to the Shepherd’s voice. By beholding, we are changed— Keep your eyes upon the Lord! [Verse 2 — Lessons From the Past] Lot pitched his tent toward Sodom; Achan saw, then coveted and took; David saw, inquired, then took; Desire grew and led to sin. Joseph fled when he was tempted; Job made covenant with his eyes. Learn from those who came before; Guard your heart and turn from sin. [Verse 3 — The Word and the Holy Spirit] Teach God’s Word throughout the day— Sitting, walking on the way; When you rise and when you rest, Hide His Word within your heart. Then the Holy Spirit brings to mind Words that Jesus taught before; He will guide you into truth— Walk each day with the Holy Spirit. [Chorus 2 — Word and Holy Spirit] “It is written!” Jesus answered; With God’s Word He met the foe. When the tempter comes to you, Let the Holy Spirit lead in truth. Take each thought and yield to Christ; Think on what is pure and true. Walk each day with the Holy Spirit; Let the mind of Christ be yours. [Verse 4 — Final Deception] Last-day falsehoods will increase; Signs will be used to deceive. What you see and what you hear Must not overrule God’s Word. When the world demands your worship, Hold to what the Scriptures say. Let His Word remain your guide; Stand in Christ and do not yield. [Verse 5 — Prepare Now] Now prepare; watch and pray; Guard the avenues each day. Fill your heart with living truth; Let God’s Word take root in you. Follow where the Lamb will lead; Keep His Word in thought and deed. God will seal His faithful ones; Stand in truth until He comes! [Climax & Appeal — Stand!] GUARD YOUR EYES! GUARD YOUR EARS! GUARD YOUR HEART FROM SATAN’S SNARES! HIDE GOD’S WORD WITHIN YOUR HEART! NOW’S THE TIME—PREPARE TO STAND! WHEN THE FINAL TEST SHALL COME, STAND FOR CHRIST, WHATEVER COMES! GOD’S NAME WRITTEN ON YOUR FOREHEAD— HAVING DONE ALL—STAND! HAVING DONE ALL—STAND!
