[Intro]
When Adam chose the path of sin, God's holy presence man had lost; No sinful soul can stand and live Before the glory of our God. Through Christ alone we're welcomed home— The Mirror, the Laver, and the Lamb.
[Verse 1 – The Mirror]
God's holy Word reflects His heart; His perfect law reveals our need. The mirror shows each hidden stain, But cannot make the sinner clean. It points us to the cleansing stream, Where Christ makes guilty sinners clean.
[Chorus]
The Mirror shows me, The Laver cleanses, The Lamb restores what sin destroyed. From guilt to glory, Through Christ alone, We stand before our Father's throne.
[Verse 2 – The Laver]
From women's mirrors came the laver, Where priests must wash before they served. Still they saw their own reflection; Water cleansed what mirrors showed. Through Christ we're washed from every stain, To draw near to the throne of grace.
[Chorus]
The Mirror shows me, The Laver cleanses, The Lamb restores what sin destroyed. From guilt to glory, Through Christ alone, We stand before our Father's throne.
[Verse 3 – The Lamb]
The Father's image came to earth; In Christ God's glory shines so clear. Through Scripture now we look by faith, Though still we see through mirrors dim. Beholding Him, we're changed each day, Till faith gives way to perfect sight.
[Bridge]
The mirror's work is now complete; The laver's cleansing has been done. The Lamb has brought us home at last; God dwells forever with His own. What sin had stolen, Christ restored; We'll see His face forevermore.
[Final Chorus]
The Mirror showed me, The Laver washed me; The Lamb restored what sin destroyed. Faith now is sight; Through Christ alone, We stand before our Father's throne.
