Welcome to the Homewood Cumberland Presbyterian Church Sermon Podcast. We’re glad you’re joining us as we listen to God’s Word and grow together in faith.
Today’s sermon, preached by Reverend Derek Jacks on October 4, 2026, is titled “The Lord Is Good,” from Hebrews 5:11 through 6:12.
Growing in faith requires more than hearing the gospel. It calls us to receive God’s Word, put it into practice, and persevere in trusting Christ. In this passage, Hebrews challenges us to move toward spiritual maturity, take seriously the danger of falling away, and continue serving one another in love.
Alongside these sobering warnings comes a comforting assurance: God remembers the love shown in his name. His goodness encourages us to remain diligent, holding firmly to our hope as we inherit his promises through faith and patience.
Now, let us listen together to “The Lord Is Good.”
