We know you know Leonardo, Raphael, and Michelangelo... BUT have you ever heard of Albrecht? What about Pieter? That's likely because they, along with Greco and Bosch, are 'the other guys' of the Renaissance: the ones who worked outside of Italy, though they may have felt its influence.Though their legacies are not as widely known in popular culture, and many fewer turtles are named for them, these guys had a big impact on each other, their peers, and the artists who came after them. So we're keeping our 15th--17th century focus this month to take a good long look at some less recognizable, yet equally important, Northern Renaissance artworks.
