Can anyone beat me? Will anyone EVER topple my list of absolute perfection? You’re welcome to try. Just bring your best arguments and a healthy tolerance for sarcasm.
This week on hEaD Pop, we’re challenging you to our ultimate tier-list showdown: The Simpsons games are getting ranked, and our TV-show tier quiz is ready to expose the difference between “I watch a lot of telly” and “I actually know what I’m talking about.” Expect controversial placements, unnecessary confidence and at least one opinion that should probably come with an apology.
We’re also taking another look at KELBROOKE, before getting into The Gentlemen season two. For me, it’s absolutely superb and right up there with season one. And that music? I loved it. It gives me Casino and The Godfather Part II vibes — the sort of soundtrack that makes a perfectly ordinary walk to the fridge feel like organised crime.
Then it’s time for GTA 6 and a physical-media debate: talk of a physical soundtrack release has me asking what we actually want to own when we buy a game. Give me the box. Give me the disc. Let me dramatically place something on a shelf.
We’re also discussing The Fall 2. Enjoyable? Yes. Would I recommend it? Yes. Am I rushing to watch it again? Probably not. Sometimes a film gets one visit, a polite handshake and no invitation to stay.
And then comes the anime dilemma: Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End versus Delicious in Dungeon. Two brilliant shows, one deeply unreliable decision-maker. Delicious in Dungeon is one of my absolute favourites, and the anticipation for season two isn’t helping me stay impartial. But which anime takes the top spot? I have an answer. It may change before I finish the sentence.
