Stagione 1

Episode 1: The Quiet Rule — Inside the Cult That Made Silence a Weapon

What happens when a community decides that obedience is holy, silence is survival, and the truth is the most dangerous thing you can tell? In the first episode of Grave Behaviour, Lorena Bennett and Bryony Marsh dive into the disturbing world behind Twyla Noll's The Quiet Rule, following the coercion, abuse, and secrets buried beneath a carefully maintained façade of faith and family. There are rules. There are people who enforce them. And there are survivors who eventually decide they've had enough of the fucking rules. Lorena and Bryony examine the cult's methods, the people who kept it running, and the devastating consequences for those who tried to leave. Expect uncomfortable questions, dark humour, disagreements, and the occasional tangent that absolutely should have been edited out. Content warning: Religious abuse, coercive control, psychological abuse, and sexual violence. Sources and further reading Noll, Twyla. The Quiet Rule. Ganet Hill Press, print edition, 2026.
