Who decides what the mission of the Church actually is?

Churches write mission statements.

They build ministries.

They develop strategies.

Those things can be useful.

But the mission did not begin with us.

It began with God.

The Father sends the Son. The Spirit empowers Christ’s people. And the risen Christ sends His Church into the world to bear witness, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, baptize them, teach them to obey Christ, and form them into the life of His Church.
