Kiki-ing with Misty Copeland 🥂 Ballet, Mariah & Real Talk | GIRRRL HOUR

Welcome to GIRRRL HOUR 🥂

Hosted by Bobby Newberry

In Episode 3, I’m sitting down with one of my best friends and an absolute icon, Misty Copeland.

Misty made history as the first Black principal dancer at American Ballet Theatre, and in this episode we get into everything from our 10-year friendship to her incredible career, her powerful comeback after hip surgery, and how she continues to inspire the next generation through her work and her new book Firebird Waltz.

We talk Mariah Carey (of course), ballet, fashion, Paris Fashion Week, and the conversations happening around the importance of classical art forms today. Plus, we dive into The Misty Copeland Foundation and the impact she’s creating for young dancers.

It’s fun, it’s real, it’s meaningful and yes… the Prosecco is poured.

Pour yourself a glass and join the kiki.
