My silence about that whole part of my life is quite honestly deafening.

I didn't realize how much guilt, shame, hurt, pain, and betrayal came with this chapter.

if you didn't know, I suffered a spinal injury in may of 2020. what I thought was something I'd "get over" turned into something I will deal with for the rest of my life.

chronic pain is no joke, and learning how to adjust and deal with chronic pain is also no joke when you've been taught to survive and depend on yourself your entire life.

I would never wish the pain I endured in the heat of all this on anyone - not a single soul.
