Cersei destroys the Sept of Baelor, wipes out the Faith and Tyrell leadership, loses Tommen, and takes the Iron Throne. Arya avenges the Red Wedding, Jon is declared King in the North, Bran learns the truth about Jon’s birth, and Daenerys finally sails for Westeros with Tyrion as her Hand.

The finale resets the balance of power around three converging threats: Cersei’s rule built on mass murder, Daenerys’s invasion force, and the coming winter beyond the Wall. It also reframes Jon’s identity, Sansa’s political position, and the alliances forming against the Lannisters.
