This is a wrap up episode that discusses the main findings and connections from the series.
This is the final case study school. Middlebury represents the most urban of the three schools. You will hear from parents, a teacher and the principal to understand the differences between a slightly larger school in comparison to smaller schools.
This is the second case study school. Vergennes falls in the middle of the rural spectrum and is the second largest school we will look at. You will hear about the experience of those in the community after the closure of a small school.
This is the first of three case studies. Leicester is the most rural school and the smallest school. You will hear from a principal, teacher and parent on their experience through the process of Act 46 and COVID-19.
This episode will focus on the structure, history and goals of Vermont specific policies: Act 60 and Act 46. You will hear from the Director of the Vermont Superintendent's Association, a Legislator, and a former school board member who played a key role in advocating for funding equity.
In this episode, we will review key concepts and ideas from literature and scholars to set the frameworks for the rest of this podcast. We will look at key national funding systems in place and the existing issues in public education funding at a national scale.
