Ross gets Ben for the holidays and sets out to teach him about Hanukkah for the first time, only to find every Santa suit in the city rented out two days before Christmas. He improvises as the Holiday Armadillo, a Tex-Mex emissary of Santa, and finally gets through to Ben — until Chandler shows up in an actual Santa suit. Joey eventually arrives in a Superman costume, and the three of them end up lighting Hanukkah candles together. Meanwhile, Phoebe learns her apartment is repaired and, fearing Rachel will choose to stay with Joey permanently, tries to sabotage Joey's place with increasingly ill-aimed gifts. The apartment subplot resolves when a renovation leaves only one bedroom, keeping Rachel at Joey's and Phoebe on her own.
