In Your Daddy's Loins EP16

Larry and I continue to discuss the topic of why did Jesus come? That's what we're trying to hone in on when we look at these scriptures. We begin by reading from Luke 2:11-14 "Do not be afraid for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior who is Christ the Lord and in the sign to you you will find a babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: glory to God in the highest and on earth peace good will towards men." Amen. Amen. We'll hone in on that. As you read it the second time. Did you finish? Yeah. I'm done reading. Yeah. When you read it the second time what you said the very first words you said really hit me. Do not be afraid. Do not be afraid. Yeah. Every time the angels showed up in the scripture story. Yeah. First thing they said don't be afraid. Yeah. Well I know I realize it's probably because of their majestic presence or whatever. Might be fearful. But my thought is because of what Jesus has done in his coming his incarnation becoming a man all that he can look at. Don't be afraid. Yeah. But every time you turn the dead gun TV on or the radio what do they promote? Fear. Fear. Well that's what sails. Fear. That's what attracts us. We're like moths to a flame. God says don't be afraid. Yeah. So let's find that peace. Yeah. Well okay. God is love and perfect love cast out all fear. So these these messengers from from God our father.

Jesus=You Are In EP15

Larry and I talk about the wonderful life that Jesus came to give us! Here's how we get started. On the way over today was thinking about how I got to where I am in my thinking. So in the forefront of my mind, I'll say it that way, for the past few years has been a question. Why did Jesus come? I'll say it another way. Why did God become a man? So with that in the forefront of my mind, in the back of my mind is another question. Did Jesus come just to die and be buried and raised from the dead? I'm not saying that's just a; but just so we could ask him into our heart so that when we die, we can go to heaven. Did he come just so that I can say a prayer and one day when I die, go to heaven. Is that all the victory? Is that all the gospel? Is that all the life that Jesus came to give? That's in the back of my mind when I'm thinking about those thoughts. A Shared Life EP14

In this episode Larry and I are talking about why did Jesus come? I just believe there is more to life than asking Jesus in my heart so that when I die I can go to heaven. There is a life, a shared life of Christ. This scripture comes to mind. "I have been crucified with Christ. Nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the son of God who loved me and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20 So there is more. It's a shared life of Christ. The life of Christ is available. The life of the age that is to come, is available now. We've hit on that pretty good. We want to talk some more about why did Jesus come? We talk about how it's got to be good news of great joy to all people! However you think about why Jesus came, it's got to be good news, it's got to bring great joy, it's got to be for all people. If it's not, you're not thinking about it straight. We talked a little bit about His being a Savior and what that meant. It's also, he is Christ the Lord. I'd like to talk about just that term Christ.

In this episode Larry and I discuss some of our experiences growing up on the KING JAMES ONLY, believing it is the only bible for English speaking people. Larry shares some of his experiences sharing the gospel with people, evangelizing and how that helped him switch to the New King James Version. And we talk about how we learned in Lithuania that God is not bound to the King James Only and that there are many translations available that provide tremendous insight and clarity.

I ask the question, why did Jesus come? And Larry and I try to answer that question and discover how the GOOD NEWS is a message that is good, it brings great joy, and it is for all people!! If the gospel you are believing doesn't do this it might not be the GOOD NEWS!!

More Good News EP9

In this episode Larry and I talk about the goodness of God and how everything He created is good. And I ask a question. What are you thinking? That's a good question. That is a good question. This is gonna determine what goes on in your life. You can have a poor attitude and see everything that's bad in experience. Or you can have a good attitude and try to see the good. Things can be different. Yeah. Because God is good. And even when he made creation. He set all this up. And when he made creation, every time he's making something, he said it's good. God saw that it was good. He said that it was good. And then when he made Adam and Eve, he said it's very good. He never said it was bad, did he? No. No!! But he did put a tree in the middle of the Garden of Eden that's called the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
