Yeah, well I think that's our, the darkness in which we find ourselves is we are prone to these distractions and then we're trying to interpret our human experience or the gospel or God from the distraction instead of from the gospel, the true gospel, the declaration that Jesus has brought us, what he says to be true about us because I like what you were saying a while ago. You're not your failures. You are not your past. You are not your weaknesses. You're not your temptations. Let's see what time it's 11. Yeah, we'll go get us a Nita's sandwich. Yeah, I'm just trying to get my bearings off of the... south of supposed to know... you got a directional thing on this truck? It just don't make sense in my head. Well, there's a lot in your head that don't make sense, James. Because I've been your friend a long time. Oh, I follow you now. I see what you're saying. Yeah, but hey, now we may have to get us a new episode about the mind of Christ. There we go. Okay. That's where my brother-in-law and sister-in-law live, right down there.

A Mo' Betta' Life! EP34

Larry and James discuss the abundant life that is available to all! From the intro... I can hear the comments in my head of what I've heard people say. Are you trying to say that there's sinless perfection? Are you trying to say that we don't sin anymore? No, I'm not trying to say those things. I'm just trying to say can we begin to have a conversation about what Jesus said he did instead of staying trapped to a conversation of sin that leads to death? I would say sin is revenue. But that doesn't change the reality of the world that is ours. That's where it comes back to this life of faith that we need to repent and believe the good news. Because instead of letting the current course of this world dictate my theology, beliefs, and practice, can I let who Jesus is and what he's done begin to dictate how I think and what I believe and how I act?

Because of technical difficulties. That's right. But it's happening. Oh, it's all good. The Lord wanted us to get some coffee. We wanted us to rest. We wanted us to rest. Yeah, that's all good, man. Not enough light to read in my Bible. Yeah. Can't you see the verses? They're so small. Well, if you need some more light, I'll take my hat off and give you some reflection.

Every little place got a little nuance to it. Little nuance. We got our own set of rules. It's not as standardized as some places. It's got a bigger dial-up. Yeah. Take a left there. And then somewhere down here we're gonna kind of go back, take a left, go kind of go back where we were. See, this here is supposed to be off a remote island over 1,600 miles from the nearest continent. Do you believe it? Yeah, I believe it. That's good water, boy. Got all kind of minerals, electrolytes, parasites, maclittites, natural minerals. In my opinion, that is the best tasting bottled water that you can buy.

What A Beautiful World! EP29

In this episode Larry and I discuss the nature of the reality that is available to us in this life. From the intro... But it says, However, there is a wisdom that we continually speak of when we are among the spiritually mature. It's wisdom that didn't originate in this present age, nor did it come from the rulers of this age who are in the process of being dethroned. Come on, somebody. Instead, we continually speak of this wonderful wisdom that comes from God, hidden before now in the mystery. It is His secret plan. Destined before the ages to bring us into glory. None of the rulers of this present world order understood it, for if they had, they never would have crucified the Lord of shining glory. This is why the scriptures say, things never discovered or heard of before. Things beyond our ability to imagine. These are the many things God has in store for all His lovers. But God now unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit. Yes, He has revealed to us that His innermost heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit, who constantly explores all things. After all, who can really see into a person's heart and know his hidden impulses except for that person's spirit? So it is with God. His thoughts and secrets are only fully understood by His Spirit, the Spirit of God.

Enjoying Kingdom Living...Now EP28

In this episode Larry and I discuss the life that is ours, a kingdom life. From the intro... And can I, maybe I do take some steps that I call them the temporary solutions, you know. I make a 911 call. But then can I start loving my neighbor to show him, to disciple him in a different way of living? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And that's where it's really, I think we have to live it out. Yeah. All right. But that's where you really got depend on the Holy Spirit. Well, yeah. Because, I mean, I'm among people all the time. I don't see a lot of hunger for the Lord. I'm not, I'm just saying, and I could be absolutely wrong. But I just see people that want a temporary release or relief. I think that's the human condition. I really don't want to change. I just want some relief. Yeah, that's me. Yeah. It's kind of like, you know, I don't want to go on a diet and exercise and do all these healthy things.

In this episode Larry and I discuss the nature of the Kingdom of God. From the intro... That's what's so amazing about E. Stanley Jones' tremendous insight that he had 90 years ago. Talking about the great crisis that the world was coming to, Christianity was coming to. We are gonna have to make a decisive decision. I think we're in the midst of it now. Yeah. Yeah. But I think our default human position is always to hang on to what has always been. And to keep the systems and the structures in place because we're comfortable with that.
