Note sull'episodio
In Episode 2, we talked about the choice.
“Choose you this day whom ye will serve...” — Joshua 24:15
But making the choice to follow Christ doesn't mean the battle is over.
In many ways, that's when the battle becomes real.
In Episode 3 of Faith Without Works, we look at the battle between the flesh and the Spirit—the struggle every believer knows when the desire to follow God collides with the pull of the flesh.
Galatians 5:16–17 shows us that the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh. Paul describes that same struggle in Romans 7: he desires to do what is right and delights in the law of God, yet finds another law warring within him.
That struggle doesn't mean your faith isn't real.
It means there's a battle.
The choice has been made. Now we have to understand the fight that comes with it.
Faith isn't merely something we talk about on Sunday in a suit. It's something we're called to live out every day—in our homes, our marriages, raising our children, on the job, and everywhere in between.
Because if we say we believe it, eventually our lives ought to show it.
This is Faith Without Works.
