When Truth Disrupts the City

Acts Chapter 19 takes place in Ephesus which is the center of occult worship and trade for the goddess Artemis. Paul baptizes disciples in the Holy Spirit, teaches daily in the lecture hall of Tyranny's for 2 years, and God performs extraordinary miracles. The power of God is so undeniable that people willingly bring their expensive sorcery scrolls and burn them in public repentance. But this widespread change threatens the profits of local silversmiths, sparking a massive city-wide riot in the great theater. Listen for more! Do Not Be Afraid, Keep on Speaking

Acts 18 is a gentle reminder that even the strongest leaders get weary. God didn't criticize Paul for feeling vulnerable; He sent him faithful friends like Priscilla and Aquila, and He gave him divine reassurance. When God tells you, "I have many people in this city," He is reminding you that you are never as isolated or outnumbered as you think. Midnight Praises and Shaken Chains

Acts Chapter 16 is packed with unforgettable moments! First, Paul receives a vision in the night calling him over to Macedonia. In Philippi, a businesswoman named Lydia accepts the faith and opens her home. Later, after casting a spirit out of an exploited slave girl, Paul and Silas are severely beaten, stripped, and locked in the deepest part of a prison with their feet in stocks. Instead of complaining, at midnight they start praying and singing hymns. Suddenly, a massive earthquake shakes the foundations, every door flies open, and all the chains fall off! Grace Over Rules: Resolving the Clash

Acts Chapter 15 addresses one of the biggest crises in the early church. Certain teachers insisted that new non-Jewish converts had to follow ancient Jewish customs and legalistic laws in order to be saved. This sparked a massive debate! The apostles and elders gathered in Jerusalem to settle the issue once and for all. Through testimonies from Peter, Paul, Barnabas and a wise ruling from James using scriptures, the council concluded that salvation is by grace alone through faith and not by heavy human burdens. Scars, Stones and Staying Power

In Acts Chapter 14, the mission continues through Iconium, Lystra, and Derbe. Miracles happen; a man lame from birth is completely healed in Lystra! But things take a wild turn. The crowd tries to worship Paul and Barnabas as Greek gods, and when the apostles stop them, mob mentality takes over. Opponents arrive from other cities, poison the crowd's minds, and stone Paul until they think he's dead. But as the disciples gather around him, Paul gets right back up, goes back into the city, and keeps strengthening the believers! Sent Out and Stepping Into Assignment

Acts Chapter 13 marks a huge turning point in the book of Acts. Up until now, the church has been mostly responding to events, but here during a time of fasting and worship the Holy Spirit says, " Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them." NIV so and Paul launch out on their first major mission trip. They face spiritual opposition, high praise and fierce jealousy.
