1 Kings 22 and 2 Kings 1, show the danger of rejecting the Word of the Lord. In 1 Kings 22, Ahab surrounds himself with agreeable prophets, ignores Micaiah’s warning, and dies exactly as God said. In 2 Kings 1, Ahaziah seeks answers from Baal-Zebub instead of the Lord, and Elijah announces judgment.

The simple truth is this: God’s Word stands whether people receive it or reject it. A person can gather many voices to support what they want, but one true word from God will outlast every comfortable lie.
