Seven of Pentacles
Welcome to season 7 of this podcast, where I am talking all about the Suit of Pentacles. I’ll be going through each card in the suit, one per episode. What we explore in this episode: What the Seven of Pentacles teaches about patience, growth, and strategic pause Symbolism across different decks: blooms, gardens, abundance, the sacred pause to assess progress How to recognize when it’s time to celebrate progress and when it’s time to reassess your efforts Why evaluation is a necessary and sacred part of any creative or life-building process Pictures from the decks I talked about today referenced from left to right: The Sasuraibito Tarot deck by Stasia Burrington The Goddess of Love Tarot Deck: A Book and Deck for Embodying The Erotic Divine Feminine by Gabriela Herstik and illustrated by Julia Popescu The Desert Illuminations Tarot by Lindsay D. Williams In this episode, we explore the Seven of Pentacles, a card that holds space for reflection, assessment, and acknowledgment. It’s a sacred pause point: a reminder that growth isn’t just about constant action. Sometimes, we need to stand still long enough to notice what’s blooming. Progress asks for patience, self-trust, and the bravery to both celebrate what’s flourishing and prune what no longer serves. The Seven of Pentacles invites us to recognize that real, sustainable growth honors effort, discernment, and rest in equal measure. It asks: 'Are you recognizing the real fruits of your labor? Or are you so focused on "what's next" that you're missing the quiet miracle of what’s already blooming?' If you haven't listened to my other seasons yet, go check them out! Season 1- Tarot basics Seasons 2&3- Major Arcana and 4 suits Season 4- Tarot in Pop Culture Season 5- Tarot Spreads Season 6- Suit of Wands Today's Tarot Pull: From The Citadel: A Fantasy Oracle by Fen Inkwright, I pulled The Hound (reversed), a card that's about loyalty, chains, and promises. In reverse, The Hound asks us to reflect on where loyalty has made us feel stuck rather than a source of strength. It challenges us to notice when devotion to what is familiar can keep us from reaching for more, and invites us to rebuild trust. Trust in yourself, in the process, and in the possibility that what you’re working toward is unfolding in its own divine timing. This card invites a courageous pivot: honoring the work we’ve done while giving ourselves permission to move toward new, more aligned directions. Reflective prompts on this card: Are you staying committed to a path, person, or project even after it no longer serves your growth? How do you trust yourself, and trust that positive things can happen? What different action can you take to get different results? Ace of Pentacles
In this episode, we explore the grounded beginnings offered by the Ace of Pentacles. It is a card about new opportunities in the material world. These seeds of prosperity, security, and abundance that are ready to be planted and nurtured. It's all about: The powerful energy of the Ace of Pentacles and what it teaches us about tangible beginnings, manifestation, and real-world opportunity How Pentacles connect to the material world, grounding, health, and abundance The deep symbolism of spirals, gardens, coins, and earthly treasures across different tarot decks Why growth and prosperity require both patience and active tending How cultivating your values leads to long-term security and authentic belonging Pictures from the decks I talked about: Therapists Who Tarot Deck, Prompts by Dreya Blume and Images by Rebecca Bloom The Sasuraibito Tarot deck by Stasia Burrington The Goddess of Love Tarot Deck: A Book and Deck for Embodying The Erotic Divine Feminine by Gabriela Herstik and illustrated by Julia Popescu Whether it shows up as a career shift, a financial opening, a physical move, or a renewed commitment to your own health and wellbeing, this card asks you to recognize the tangible gifts being offered to you, and to meet them with action, care, and patience. We look at imagery across several decks, from spirals and blooming gardens to ancient goddesses and bees in flight. These symbols help us understand that abundance is both a gift and a responsibility, and that real growth happens slowly over time. This card also offers a beautiful reminder that while dreams begin in the mind, they take root in the earth. It invites us to commit to tending our gardens, nurturing our foundations, and trusting that our efforts will lead to flourishing and stability in the seasons to come. If you haven't listened to my other seasons yet, check them out! In the season 1, I talked tarot basics. In seasons 2 and 3, I went through the major arcana and the 4 suits. In season 4, I talked all about Tarot in Pop Culture. In season 5, I went through 13 common Spreads. In season 6 I talked all about the Suit of Wands. Today's Tarot Pull: Today’s pull was the Emperor from the Anima Mundi Tarot deck. The Emperor reminds us that strong foundations, discipline, and structure are necessary to make the most of the opportunities that the Ace of Pentacles offers. It's a call to not just dream but to anchor your dreams with clear intentions, routines, and responsibility. True leadership in your own life comes from balancing ambition with self-trust. Reflective prompts on this card: What areas of your life are asking for more patience and tending right now? How can you honor the abundance you already have while planting seeds for future prosperity? What practical steps can you take this week to nurture your dreams into tangible reality? Where do you need to practice self-discipline in order to see your vision come to life? How do you define true wealth beyond financial prosperity? King of Wands
In this episode, we are stepping into the energy of the King of Wands, the final card in our journey through the Suit of Wands. What we explore in this episode: Fire as a symbol of leadership and action Respecting your "inner lizard" (your survivor self) Leading with authenticity rather than comparison Staying connected to your own values and passion Pictures from the decks I talked about today referenced from left to right: Therapists Who Tarot Deck, Prompts by Dreya Blume and Images by Rebecca Bloom The Sasuraibito Tarot deck by Stasia Burrington The Goddess of Love Tarot Deck: A Book and Deck for Embodying The Erotic Divine Feminine by Gabriela Herstik and illustrated by Julia Popescu, who also goes by snakes4hair The King of Wands is a powerful figure of confidence, vision, and bold leadership. He teaches us what it looks like to trust in our hard-won wisdom, to lead by example, and to blaze trails without losing sight of the bigger picture. This card invites us to own our authority, not because it was handed to us, but because we earned it through perseverance, resilience, and the lessons only experience can teach. It reminds us that passion needs grounding, and that true leadership is not about demanding respect but about living in a way that naturally inspires it. If you haven't listened to my other seasons yet, go check them out! In the first season, I introduced tarot by talking about oracle vs tarot cards, myths of tarot, how to find a deck, reading for yourself vs others, and much more. In seasons 2 and 3, I went through the major arcana and the four suits, one per episode. In season 4, I talked all about Tarot in Pop Culture and examined representations of Tarot in videogames, TV shows, movies, and more. In season 5, I went through 13 Common Tarot Spreads, what they are, how many cards, and an example of what it looks like to work through one. Today's Tarot Pull: Today’s card pull was the Page of Pentacles in reverse from the Anima Mundi Tarot Deck by Megan Wyreweden. The reversed Page of Pentacles warns us about the dangers of impatience, short-term thinking, and lack of focus. It reminds us that while big dreams and ambitions are important, they need to be rooted in practical steps and grounded commitment to grow into reality. Combined with the energy of the King of Wands, this pull emphasizes the importance of balancing fiery passion with earthy practicality. Reflective prompts on this card: Where in my life am I ready to step into leadership, even if it feels scary? What parts of myself have I undervalued that are actually part of my strength? Am I focusing on quick wins, or am I willing to build something sustainable? What dreams or goals of mine need more grounding, structure, or patience? How can I honor both my fiery ambition and my need for strategic action?
