A new report by Participación Ciudadana reveals that most political parties and movements in Ecuador lack a RUC, a basic requirement for financial transparency. Out of 233 organizations analyzed, only 20% comply with this obligation. The study highlights a fragile party system, where many groups become active only during elections, without proper administrative or accounting structures.
