Forgiveness: The Oxygen of the Kingdom - Part 1: Forgiven People Forgive | Pastor Phil Holcomb
Forgiveness sounds like a beautiful idea… until someone deeply hurts us. This week we invite you to join us as Pastor Phil Holcomb begins a new sermon series: "Forgiveness: The Oxygen of the Kingdom". In Part 1, we will discover why Jesus taught that forgiven people forgive, and how the cross gives us both the courage and the freedom to release the debt of guilt instead of carrying it. Living Life with the Holy Spirit - Part 8: The Comforting Presence | Dr. Nelson Estrada
This week, we are privileged to have a guest speaker who will be wrapping up our series “Living Life with the Holy Spirit,” with Session 8: The Comforting Presence. Dr. Nelson Estrada from Asia Biblical Theological Seminary will deliver a message on how the Holy Spirit, as the Comforter, enables believers to endure suffering and hardships alongside empowering us with boldness, wisdom, and divine authority as we fulfill God’s calling to proclaim the Gospel. The Holy Spirit was never promised to take away our trials, but to walk with us through them. Just as the disciples in Acts were transformed from fearful and inadequate followers into bold witnesses, so we can be strengthened to endure whatever suffering comes our way. The Spirit turns pain into testimony, weakness into strength, and persecution into proclamation. So let’s not pray for escape but for empowerment—that our endurance may shine as a living witness to Christ’s love and power.
Living Life with the Holy Spirit - Part 7: The Empowering Presence | Pastor Pablo Morales
Are you experiencing spiritual oppression? Join us as Pastor Pablo continues our series, The Presence: Living Life with the Holy Spirit. In Session 7, we will discover how the Holy Spirit empowers us to overcome spiritual opposition and walk in the victory of Christ. Following Jesus does not mean you will never face spiritual opposition, but it does mean you never face it alone. The Holy Spirit lives within you, and the authority of Jesus is greater than every power of darkness. Stand firm in the faith. The One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
Special Service - World Refugee Sunday: Belonging Begins with Hospitality | Zach Wylie
To commemorate World Refugee Day at ECB, we’ll explore the theme: Belonging Begins With Hospitality. We’ll discover how God’s hospitality changes lives and how Christ welcomes strangers, forms disciples, and sends His people into the world. Together we’ll reflect on a simple but powerful truth: Hospitality creates belonging. Belonging creates becoming. Becoming leads to being. Being leads us to welcome others. God welcomes undeserving people into His family. Christ welcomed us, transforms us, and sends us into the world to welcome others. Because Christ made room for us at His table, we make room for others in our lives.
Living Life with the Holy Spirit - Part 6: Great Expectations | Dr. Jim Blumenstock
Have you ever felt disappointed with God? Join us as our guest speaker, Dr. Jim Blumenstock, shares how to follow Jesus when life doesn’t unfold the way we expected. Dr. Blumenstock serves as President of Asia Biblical Theological Seminary (ABTS). Sometimes disappointment comes when life doesn't unfold the way we hoped. Yet God remains faithful. As we align our expectations with His truth, we discover that He is better than we imagined. God does not call us to lower our expectations of Him. He calls us to align them with the truth of Who He is. Is your relationship with God shaped by your expectations—or by His Word? Come be encouraged and inspired.
