there is a paradox of beauty that we internalize as young girls - namely, that our beauty determines our value, but that we also don't have any authority over it and what gets determined as "beautiful." We're also taught an inherent paradox that we shouldn't desire beauty or to stand out, evidenced in popular terms such as "pick-me girl," implying that wanting to be seen is inherently cringey. in this episode, i explore the topic of beauty and how it's become outsourced to others, and how to take that power back for yourself and allow your inner radiance to shine through unapologetically. xx enjoy!
Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching talks about the idea of wu wei, or inaction. He says, "The Tao (Way) is ever without action, yet nothing is undone.” A seeming paradox, but in reality, going with the flow can often be the quickest way to reach your manifestations. The outer world is just a reflection of your inner world, and the more we can align with it, the more harmony there is with both the inner and outer. Pretty cool, right? In this episode, I share a little anecdote that happened to me this week involving free gelato, Lexuses, and DJing that was a great reminder of how important it is to go with your flow. xx enjoy!
