Scripture of the Week:
“'Less is more and more is less. One righteous will outclass fifty wicked, For the wicked are moral weaklings but the righteous are God -strong. Less is more and more is less. One righteous will outclass fifty wicked, For the wicked are moral weaklings but the righteous are God -strong.’” Psalms 37:16-17 MSG
Quote of the Week:
“Be like a postage stamp. Stick to one thing until you get there.” Josh Billups
In today’s episode, I:
- Share some of my past challenges with focusing on one thing at a time and the need to feel accomplished by trying to be a human centipede or at minimum, an octopus. Whew chile!
- Discuss how this episode is a prerequisite for the next about the 80/20 principle–which i gave a few tidbits about what that is and how it applies to the real world and in our daily lives
- Provide some encouragement to creatives who feel like they need to do everything at once, and for those who feel like they need to be and do everything for everybody
- Give a few action items to help someone who may be struggling with what to focus on and how to just focus on one thing at a time. It doesn’t mean you’re ditching everything, but what’s the one thing that you can do such that by doing it everything else becomes easier or unnecessary?
