But the evidence is overwhelming: we watched it.
This time, Doc G & The Discussants put politics aside and confess to what has actually been occupying our television.
We start with Apple TV’s Cape Fear, another trip into the world of Max Cady and a story Hollywood apparently cannot leave alone. We get into the series, its performances, what works, what doesn’t—and whether there was really enough left in Cape Fear to justify doing it all over again.
Then we abandon whatever claim to cultural sophistication we had left.

There’s Baylen Out Loud, 90 Day Fiancé, and Love After Lockup—an assortment of relationships, families, personalities and decisions that regularly leave us asking why anyone would do these things.
Followed immediately by the more troubling question:
Why the hell are we watching them?
We have no defense. We have no alibi. And unlike Anthony Fauci, we’re not taking the Fifth.
We watched it. We admit it.
The truth is more interesting than fiction and far more valuable than clichés or talking points.
