TUNE IN to Vicki Solá's legacy, QUE VIVA LA MÚSICA -- this SATURDAY April 23rd, 2022, at 1PM ET. We continue to appreciate all the efforts you have made to keeping this programming on the air with your donations. Now it's our turn to reciprocate with weekly shows to entertain and share with each of you, hoping it's to your liking.
This week we commemorate El Maestro Tito Puente on his 99th birthday, no ordinary day in our lives. There is no doubt that this great man gave his life to the enrichment of our mind, body and souls, thus earning him the respectful title of "El Rey Del Timbal" to every corner of the world. Our show will begin with an hour dedicated to him with his music and a brief chat with 4 of the many important people in his life. Who they are will be a surprise!
We will also promote the new recordings that have been recently released. Joining us in the studio will be Eddie Muniz and Angel Rios, longtime fellow band mates and veteran musicians of Swing Sabroso, an ode to the dancers vowing never to disappoint them. Also gathering along will be Argelio Del Nodal, continuing the legacy of Los Soneros de Oriente. A lot to material to cover, so join me on this journey!
