BLACK HISTORY SESSION 4: OLE' FOLEY

ALL THINGS DVN di ERICKA DONTELLO

Note sull'episodio

This is our FINAL Black History bonus episode. It is a bit delayed but definitely still within divine timing. On today's episode, we discuss OLE' FOLEY. My great grandfather x5, Washington Green Lee Foley. I explain, how I was finally able to track slaves in my history and explain that although he was a slave owner, he is DNA'd matched, my grandfather, so I'm sure you know what that means.

I go into detail about the Foley heritage, the wealth and status of the family, as well as the parts of history that we are intertwined with, such as The Revoluntary War, Amancipation Proclaimation and the 1836 Battle of Goliad against Santa Anna’s army, and at San Jacinto, where Santa Anna was defeated.

Thank you for allowing me to share my personal black history on this platform. Let's continue to learn and grow.
