This is the recording of the lecture, only 5 months late. There is no commentary, but I will post an explanatory episode soon to wrap this all up.
DFL Eve
Thinking about this project as it comes to an end, and wrestling with some old demons
One week out (or, how I sprained my face)
I’m a little less than a week out, and I have a new mic, no script, and a sprained face. And it’s all surprisingly ok.
You Want What When?
In which I am told that a transcript of the talk is needed for closed captioning purposes, and when I do my first rehearsal of the talk.
The Powerpoint exists! (thanks, IT)
When IT wants your Powerpoint three weeks before your talk, a lot of work gets done very quickly
A really good research day
I read the things, I thought about the things, and I made notes! What more could I ask for?

An anxiety attack, some rambling, and a new dog
We've got a new dog, I've gone to a workshop on faculty burnout, we're getting ready for a trip, and oh yeah, my first anxiety attack.
In which I revisit ChatGPT, try to do some reading, and have concerns about the scope of the project
ChatGPT continues to be a source of distraction and interest, and I make a beginning on outlining the talk, which may have led to a whole new set of challenges.
