The Work of the Holy Spirit

What does the Holy Spirit actually do? Dr. Rocky Ramsey begins by exploring the many names of the Holy Spirit found in Scripture. These names reveal His relationship to the Father and the Son, His divine nature, and the gifts He provides. From the Spirit of God to the Spirit of Truth and the Spirit of Grace, each name offers insight into who He is. The message then shifts to the central focus: the work of the Holy Spirit. In the world, the Holy Spirit convicts people of sin and brings spiritual life. He opens hearts to truth and initiates the process of salvation. In the believer, the Holy Spirit takes up residence at the moment of conversion. He begins an ongoing work of transformation, producing character marked by love, joy, peace, and other spiritual fruit. He provides comfort in difficulty, guidance in decision-making, and power for living out the Christian life. The Holy Spirit also works within the church. He creates unity among believers, leads authentic worship, and equips individuals with spiritual gifts for ministry. Above all, the Holy Spirit’s ultimate purpose is to glorify Jesus and reveal the truth of God. Everything He does points back to Christ. Understanding the work of the Holy Spirit helps believers recognize that they are not living the Christian life alone. God Himself is actively working in them and through them every day. Biblical Relationships Without Confusion

Some of the most quoted passages about relationships in the Bible are also some of the most misunderstood. In part three of this series, Dr. Rocky Ramsey teaches through Ephesians 5:18–6:9 and Colossians 3:16–4:1, showing how these passages are meant to be understood in context. These verses are not about control, domination, or becoming a victim. They describe what relationships look like when people are filled with the Spirit and living out God’s Word. This message explains: • How Spirit-filled people relate to one another through service • Why marriage is built on mutual love, respect, and responsibility • What Biblical parenting and honoring looks like • How faith should shape the way we work and lead • Why every role is ultimately lived out in service to Jesus When understood correctly, these passages don’t oppress—they bring order, strength, and life to every relationship. Understanding the Holy Spirit

From the opening pages of Scripture to the words of Jesus, the Bible reveals that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead, fully equal with the Father and the Son, working in perfect unity and truth. In this message, Dr. Rocky Ramsey teaches who the Holy Spirit is and what He does in the life of a believer. Jesus called Him the Helper, the Spirit of Truth, the One who would come alongside us and guide us into all truth. If you’ve ever wondered who the Holy Spirit is or how He works in your life, this message will bring clarity and confidence. Do you have a question for Pastor Rocky? Handling Hard Passages Correctly

The Bible is true—but it is often misunderstood. In Part Two of this series, Dr. Rocky Ramsey continues showing why accurately handling God’s Word is essential for both belief and daily living. When Scripture is taken out of context, it can be misapplied in ways that harm rather than help. But when understood correctly, it brings clarity, protection, and direction. This message addresses: • Why we must interpret Scripture accurately, not just literally • Why obedience to God always takes priority over human authority • How the Bible guides us to avoid unnecessary harm and danger • Why no one is called to endure or submit to abuse • How Biblical responsibilities do not cancel out accountability • Why tolerating sin is not the same as showing love Do you have a question for Pastor Rocky? Jesus, Now and Forever

Jesus is not just a figure from history—He is alive now and reigning forever. In Revelation, Jesus declares, “I am the Alpha and the Omega… who is and who was and who is to come… I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore”. That truth changes everything about life, death, and eternity. Do you have a question for Pastor Rocky? Email media@corrytonchurch.com to submit your questions today. Interpreting the Bible Accurately

The Bible is clear, but it is often misunderstood. In this first message of the series, Dr. Rocky Ramsey teaches the importance of accurately handling the Word of God. Scripture is not meant to be interpreted in isolation or reshaped by personal opinion. Instead, every verse must be understood in light of the whole Bible. When taken out of context, even familiar passages can be misunderstood or misapplied. The message also challenges the idea that following God is simply about belief. Throughout Scripture, the call is not only to trust God, but to obey Him. Repentance—turning from wrong to right—is a consistent theme from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, God’s Word stands as the final authority. It is not subject to culture, tradition, or personal preference. Instead, it is the standard by which all things are measured. To handle Scripture rightly is not just an intellectual exercise—it is a call to live differently. Do you have a question for Pastor Rocky? Jesus Our Substitute

The Gospel can be summed up in one staggering truth: Jesus took our place In 2 Corinthians 5, we’re given one of the clearest pictures of what Christ accomplished on the cross: “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” This message walks through the full story of redemption. Every person has sinned. We were created in God’s image, yet we’ve all fallen short (Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:23). Sin brings judgment and separation from God (Ezekiel 18:4; Romans 6:23). Jesus willingly stepped in as our substitute. He chose the cross. He bore our sin. He satisfied God’s justice. From the sacrifices of the Old Testament to the Lamb of God in the New Testament, Scripture points to one reality: Jesus died in our place. How do we respond to this? We no longer live for ourselves—but for Him. We are made new. We are reconciled. We are sent as ambassadors to bring others to Christ. Do you have a question for Pastor Rocky? What You’ve Missed About Jesus

What was Jesus really like when He walked the earth? John tells us that if everything Jesus did were written down, the world itself couldn’t contain the books. That means what we do have in Scripture is only a glimpse—and yet it reveals a Savior unlike anyone who has ever lived. In this message, Dr. Rocky Ramsey explores the amazing and surprising realities of the earthly life of Jesus. Do you have a question for Pastor Rocky? From Passover to the Cross

Dr. Rocky Ramsey teaches how the Passover points directly to Jesus Christ and the salvation He provides. The blood of a spotless lamb once protected God’s people from judgment. Today, the blood of Christ offers forgiveness and freedom to all who trust in Him. Do you have a question for Pastor Rocky? Email media@corrytonchurch.com to submit your questions today. Facing What You Can't Change

Some things in life don’t move when we ask them. Like Paul’s “thorn in the flesh” in 2 Corinthians 12, there are moments when we pray, plead, and believe—and yet the situation remains. But in that tension, God gives a promise that changes everything: “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” In this second message from Education Pastor William Hunt—we learn how to faithfully navigate the realities we cannot control, fix, or escape. Life is unpredictable, hard seasons are inevitable, but God is unchanging. If you’re walking through something you didn’t choose and can’t change, this message is for you.
