And a quick hitting snowstorm is already knocking on our door. Snow starts flying across the state around 5 A.M. Along the coast, it wraps up by noon. Central Connecticut keeps it going until 1 P.M. Eastern Connecticut? You've got the longest window.. Snow sticking around until 3 P.M. Peak intensity hits early. Coastal and eastern towns see the heaviest rates near 7 A.M. Central Connecticut peaks closer to 8 A.M. We're talking half an inch to an inch per hour during those bursts. That's enough to turn your commute into a skating rink. Total accumulation runs one to three inches statewide. Not a blockbuster, but with temps starting in the teens, every flake sticks.  ...
