In this episode Pastor Chioma Alade shares how she overcame a life of physical, sexual, spiritual, emotional abuse and control at the hands of individuals who were suppose to protect her. Pastor Chioma is a leader in London-based Living Temple Church. She is a speaker and advocate for justice and reform within society and the Church. Pastor Chioma grew up in a home with domestic violence and was physically and sexually abused as a child. Upon finding what she thought was a "Father figure" in Church, she was then physically and sexually abused for over a decade. She is neurodivergent and was born with genetic health condition and disability 'Ehlers Danlos Syndrome'. She was was finally diagnosed with EDS and multiple other health conditions at the age of 32. Her story is an outcry for us to make necessary safeguarding changes in the Church, and wider society.
