Andrea Catherine was convicted of first-degree felony murder and several other charges after a 2023 incident that began with an alleged stolen vehicle and a police pursuit. Catherine was not accused of shooting Officer Oswald—but prosecutors successfully used Kansas' felony-murder law to hold her responsible for a death that occurred during the commission of a serious crime.
