Few things shape our daily lives as quietly—and as powerfully—as our ideas of physical beauty. Beauty influences attraction, self-worth, advertising, social media, and even how we perceive our standing before others. Physical beauty is a gift: A free and undeserved gift. Esther and Abigail in the bible are described as both beautiful and discerning women(Esther 2:7; 1 Samuel 25:3). Just like many gifts, physical beauty may be used to please God and bless people or it may be conceited and sensual.
