Responsible AI Use Within Law Firms: Policies, Training, and Oversight for 2026

CLEs You Actually Want to Hear di Beverly Hills Bar Association

Note sull'episodio
Generative AI is now embedded across legal and administrative workflows, but informal lawyer-by-lawyer judgment is no longer sufficient to manage the risks. Oliver Roberts, Co-Director of the WashU Law AI Collaborative, examines how law firms can build the policies, training, and oversight structures needed for responsible AI adoption in 2026. The program covers firm-wide AI policies, confidentiality obligations under ABA Model Rule 1.6, supervision requirements under ABA Model Rules 5.1 and 5.3, and key guidance from ABA Formal Opinion 512 and the California State Bar. Attendees will leave with a practical governance framework for risk-tiering AI use, conducting vendor diligence, and keeping policies current as tools evolve. Audio versions of Beverly Hills Bar Association programs are eligible for Self-Study CLE credit in California. Visit www.bhb ...
