The Hanged Man and Ose
Perspective changes everything. But once you see the world differently, can you trust what you’re seeing? In this episode of The Arcane Realm, CK explores The Hanged Man, the twelfth card of the Major Arcana, and its lesson of surrender, patience, and shifting perspective. The journey continues as the Fool discovers that true wisdom often comes not through action, but by letting go. The second half of the episode examines Ose, the 57th spirit of the Ars Goetia, a being associated with hidden knowledge, transformation, and altered perception. Ose reveals truth while blurring the line between reality and illusion, raising an unsettling question: if your perspective changes, how do you know what is real? Episode Question: Now that you see things differently… can you trust what you see? Justice and Haures
Justice & Haures: Now That You See Clearly… What Truth Must You Accept? After the Wheel of Fortune turns and life shifts around us, there comes a moment when we must look honestly at where we stand. In this episode of The Arcane Realm, CK continues the Fool’s Journey with the tarot card Justice and the Goetic spirit Haures (Flauros). Justice brings the scales and the sword — asking us to examine truth, accountability, choices, and balance without falling into blame or self-punishment. Haures enters as the revealing flame, exposing what has been hidden and challenging us to see ourselves and our path with complete clarity. Together, these two forces ask one powerful question: Now that you see clearly… what truth must you accept? 🃏 The Fool’s Journey: Encountering Justice The Fool moves beyond the turning Wheel of Fortune and arrives before the scales of Justice. The Wheel and Balam
The Wheel of Fortune & Balam: Can You See Clearly While the Wheel Moves? The Wheel is always turning. Sometimes we rise. Sometimes we fall. Sometimes life changes direction before we feel ready. But what if the lesson is not learning how to control the Wheel… but learning how to see clearly while it moves? In this episode of Arcane Realm, we continue the Fool’s Journey with the Wheel of Fortune, the tenth card of the Major Arcana. After receiving wisdom from the Hermit, the Fool returns to the path and discovers a powerful truth — not every force in life can be controlled. The Wheel teaches us about cycles, change, fate, opportunity, endings, beginnings, and the patterns that repeat until we finally understand them. Joining us on this journey is Balam, the 51st spirit of the Ars Goetia within the Lesser Key of Solomon. A Great and Powerful King commanding 40 legions, Balam appears with three heads — a bull, a man, and a ram — riding upon a bear and carrying a hawk. Known for revealing the past, understanding the present, and offering insight into the future, Balam challenges us to look beyond our first reactions and see the deeper truth beneath the surface. Together, the Wheel of Fortune and Balam ask: Are you seeing the truth of your situation… or only your reaction to it? The Wheel brings motion. Balam brings sight. Reflection & Journaling Questions Take time after this episode to sit with these questions: 1. Where is the Wheel currently turning in my life? What area feels like it is shifting, ending, beginning, or moving in a direction I did not expect? Am I flowing with that movement, or trying to hold the Wheel still? 2. What story am I telling myself about this moment? Is that story based on what is actually happening? Or is it being shaped by fear, past experiences, or my need for certainty? 3. If I looked at this situation through Balam’s eyes, what else might I see? What information am I ignoring? What perspective have I not considered? 4. Think back to a moment when the Wheel turned unexpectedly. Something you thought was a failure, a loss, or a closed door. Looking back now, what did that moment create? What did it teach you? 5. What cycle keeps returning in my life? Is there a pattern, lesson, or situation that keeps appearing? Is the Wheel bringing me back to the same place, or giving me another opportunity to see it differently? 6. What am I trying to control that I may need to understand instead? Where am I forcing? Where am I resisting? 7. Can I sit with uncertainty without demanding an immediate answer? Can I allow the Wheel to turn long enough for the full picture to reveal itself? ✨ Remember: The Wheel will always turn. The question is not whether life will change. The question is… Can you see clearly while the Wheel moves?
The Hermit and Furcas: Are you seeking wisdom, or just seeking stimulation?
The Hermit & Furcas “Are you seeking wisdom… or are you just seeking stimulation?” In this quieter and more reflective episode of Arcane Realm, we journey into the mountain silence of The Hermit and the disciplined intellect of Furcas. The Hermit appears when life calls us inward — away from distraction, noise, and performance — so we may examine ourselves honestly beneath the surface of everyday life. Carrying only a lantern and a staff, The Hermit reminds us that wisdom rarely arrives all at once. Often, we are only given enough light for the next few steps forward. Alongside The Hermit stands Furcas, a Goetic spirit associated with philosophy, logic, rhetoric, astrology, astronomy, chiromancy, and disciplined study. Traditionally depicted as an aged figure carrying a spear, Furcas embodies the pursuit of sharpened understanding and intellectual clarity. Rather than encouraging spectacle or emotional excess, Furcas challenges the seeker toward structure, reflection, discernment, and serious examination of belief. Together, these energies form a powerful question at the center of this episode: Are you seeking wisdom… or are you just seeking stimulation? This episode explores: The deeper symbolism and meaning of The Hermit The Fool’s Journey meeting The Hermit upon the mountain path Furcas’ appearance, correspondences, and traditional associations Spiritual discipline versus spiritual consumption Silence, solitude, and reflective practice Journaling prompts for self-examination and inner growth How The Hermit and Furcas work together as forces of wisdom and discernment This is an episode about slowing down long enough to truly listen — not only to the world around us, but to the quieter truths waiting within. Reflection Question What would remain of your spiritual path if all distraction and performance were stripped away? Journaling Prompt Where in my life am I confusing distraction with growth? The Lovers and Lilith
The Lovers & Lilith Theme: Conscious Alignment in Love and Power In this episode of Arcane Realm, we explore the meeting point between union and sovereignty through The Lovers and Lilith. The Lovers is often reduced to romance — but beneath the surface, it represents conscious choice, moral alignment, and the responsibility that comes with intimacy. Lilith carries a different current. Emerging from ancient Mesopotamian myth and later Jewish folklore, she evolves from night spirit to exile to archetype of sovereignty. She refuses imbalance. She chooses herself. Together, these archetypes invite us to examine what it truly means to love without self-abandonment. In This Episode The deeper meaning of The Lovers beyond romance Symbolism within the Rider–Waite imagery The evolution of Lilith across myth and culture Discernment as spiritual maturity The tension between connection and autonomy How to recognize alignment vs. self-compromise Integrating love and sovereignty in real life Key Reflection Questions Where in your life are you being asked to choose? Are you entering connection from strength — or from fear? Where are you shrinking to maintain harmony? Does this relationship reflect who you are becoming? Can you love deeply without abandoning yourself? If you’d like to continue the journey: Visit CK’s Tarot for deeper exploration, reflections, and additional Arcane Realm teachings. The Hierophant and Marbas: Authority, Diagnosis, and Discernment
The Hierophant & Marbas — Tradition Tested by Truth In this episode of Arcane Realm, we explore the meeting point between The Hierophant and Marbas — where tradition, authority, and inherited belief systems are brought into honest examination. The Hierophant represents structure, lineage, and sanctioned knowledge. He governs the systems we trust to preserve wisdom and provide stability — religious, cultural, educational, and personal. Marbas, by contrast, is an intelligence of diagnosis and revelation. He exposes hidden causes, uncovers what lies beneath appearances, and challenges us to see what is actually happening rather than what we’ve been taught to accept. Together, these archetypes ask a difficult but necessary question: Is this system healthy — or merely familiar? This episode is not about rebellion or blind faith. It’s about discernment. We explore how truth can be revealed responsibly within structure, how tradition can evolve without collapsing, and why diagnosis is essential for genuine healing — whether in belief systems, institutions, or personal identity. Reflection Prompts What belief or system in your life do you follow without questioning? Where might familiarity be mistaken for truth? What is ready to be seen clearly — even if you don’t act on it yet? The Emperor and Zagan
The Emperor & Zagan — Authority, Truth, and Reform In Episode 07 of Arcane Realm, we explore the nature of authority — how it’s built, how it’s maintained, and how it must evolve to remain legitimate. We begin with The Emperor, the Tarot archetype of structure, leadership, and responsibility. The Emperor governs the systems we rely on: personal rules, institutions, traditions, and inner authority. At his best, he provides stability and protection. In shadow, he becomes rigid, controlling, and resistant to change. From there, we transition into the current of Zagan, a Goetic force associated with alchemy, truth, and transformation. Zagan does not seek chaos or rebellion. Instead, he dissolves illusion — exposing what no longer functions so something real can take its place. Together, The Emperor and Zagan form a powerful dialogue: Authority that refuses truth becomes brittle Truth without structure becomes destabilizing Real power adapts rather than dominates This episode examines how these energies interact in leadership, personal boundaries, belief systems, and internal governance — and how reform can strengthen authority rather than destroy it. Listeners are invited to reflect on where they hold power, where rules no longer serve, and how honest revision can restore integrity. 🜂 Explore Further Extended materials for this episode — including symbolic notes, visual references, and sigils — are available on the Arcane Realm section of my website.
