The Importance Of Box Office.

In this episode we take a closer look at the box office and why it's so important to cinema. Enjoy it!

Cinema Is More Than An Opening Weekend.

Sometimes movies underperform at the box office. And sadly we live in a world where people, who are supposedly film fans and journalists, gloat and ridicule a movie just because of an underwhelming opening weekend. In this episode we discuss this unfortunate reality.

Appreciating The Underrated / Back to the 80's with "Totally Killer".

In this episode of the "Cinematic Ventures" podcast we are shining light on a recent time travel slasher...that is destined to become a cult classic. Hope you enjoy the episode!

Movies That Made Us.

Certainly not the usual list of movies. Join Gabriel as he discusses inspirational films and why we shouldn't curve/betray our taste just so we can "fit in".

CVentures Prediction Time: "Saturn Awards" /2024/.

I've always been a huge supporter of the Saturn Awards and I really had a great time doing this episode. Hope you enjoy it!

Movie Appreciation: "200 Cigarettes".

Appreciating the underrated. In this episode of the podcast we cover Risa Garcia' terrific (and criminally underrated) ensemble piece "200 Cigarettes".

Filmmaker Appreciation: Ridley Scott.

Scott is without a doubt one of the most interesting, hardworking and eclectic filmmakers. Even in his 80s he's still working hard, delivering massive productions and entertaining viewers from all over the globe. This episode is about his impressive filmography. I probably used the word "incredible" 100 times while talking about Scott's movies : ) Hope you enjoy the episode!

From "Marvels" to "Sound of Freedom".....are we really able to leave politics and preconceived notions at the door?

Or we're forever tainted and dependent on social media for everything? Certainly a big topic and this episode is just the start of a long, interesting and hopefully productive discussion. Enjoy it!

Streaming & Movie theaters. A balanced look.

Certainly a hot topic. As always, Cinematic Ventures tries to provide a more balanced commentary. Hope you enjoy the episode.

Movies, fans, filmmakers, critics. How do we respond to cinema? Online narrative vs. genuine, honest feelings.

An important topic that I will continue to discuss in the future. This (shorter) off-the-cuff episode contains a few of my thoughts and views scattered around (blabbing a bit too). Hopefully it'll give you an idea as to why I made this podcast. Thank you for listening and apologies in advance for the not-so-good audio. I will make sure it doesn't happen again.
