Growth & Change in The Kingdom of God

Our Season 1 Finale is highlighted with special guest Pastor Dan Curtis. Pastor "Dad" shares some great insight from over 30 years of ministry and church growth. God grows His church and provides all the resources. Many of those resources are the very people that make up Christ Community Fellowship. The excitement continues to grow as we seek Him and take our directions from the One who has the best plan for our lives.

Tripping Down Memory Lane

A lot has changed over the 19 years of pastoring here at CCF. In fact, many of you don't know that we used to be the United Baptist Church of Madison Maine. But, with all the changes there are some things that have stayed constant. One of those constants is Shaun Swain. He's been an active member, deacon, and elder here for many years and we sit down with him on this podcast to discuss where we've been, where we're going and the bumpy ride that got us where we're at.

Rescue those being led away to death

On this podcast Pastor Tobin sits down with Patty Tucker, CCF's PAL Facilitator. PAL stands for Parents of Addicted Loved Ones. It is a support and recovery program for the people who are trying to help their drug addicted loved ones get on the road to recovery. Currently CCF is the only church providing PAL Support in all of New England. We want this to change so we are partnering with Patty to help her achieve her goal of having at least one PAL group in every county in Maine.

Adventure Awaits Those Who Step Out In Faith

In this episode Pastor Tobin sits down with CCF's homegrown missionary Savanna Kandiko to get an update on the mission God has set her on. Savanna is a missions coordinator for an organization called Adventure In Missions. She is in charge of coordinating mission trips to Florida, Guatemala, Lesotho, Columbia, Costa Rica, and Romania. She recently lead a mission team to serve the homeless and under-served in Manchester NH. Doing life on mission is definitely an Adventure!

A Look Behind The Curtain

In this episode, Pastor Tobin sits down with CCF's Office Administrator, Heather Emery. They reflect on the many changes that took place during the pandemic shutdown and eventual re-opening of the church. They discuss the blessings and challenges of church growth and the systems that are now in place to help CCF grow more efficiently and securely. On-line giving has been a game changer and connecting to our app and directory is the quickest and easiest way to keep updated with all that is going on at CCF.

Say "Hello" Stephanie!

We welcome my wife and ministry partner for the past 19 years to our CCF Podcast. Stephanie Curtis gives some insight into the blessings and challenges of church ministry, as a pastor's wife. We discuss the topic of true Christian Fellowship and Stephanie introduces the upcoming Ladies Bible Study "Isaiah" by Melissa Spoelstra.

Saints On A Mission

Over the past 2 weeks I have been laying out the ministry and mission of the church as I see it described in the New Testament. Week 1: Equipping the saints for the work of the ministry We don’t want to be merely hearers of the Word we want to  do what it says. Equipping comes from preaching and teaching the Word of God. (2 Tim. 3:16-17 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” There are no menial tasks in the kingdom of God: Everything is done as unto the Lord Week 2: Saints on a Mission Ministry without a Mission is pointless and short-lived Our mission is God’s mission: And God’s mission was to send his Son into the world, who then sent His Spirit into the world, who now sends His Church into the world. Our short-term mission Easter: We are believing for at least 500 people to join us over 2 services 9 and 11 on Sunday March 31st. Egg-stravaganza: Saturday before Easter we will be doing our egg hunt in Madison at 10am for the community. But this year we will also be reaching out to the community of Bingham and doing an egg-hunt there at 2pm.
