Hello, my name is Simon Landry. I wrote the words and drew the pictures for Can You Trust the Magic Parrot?, the story we’re going to read today.

We’re going to meet a group of friends and a special bird that causes a little bit of trouble at school. The Magic Parrot works a lot like something called AI, or artificial intelligence, in the real world. And you might be surprised by what it can—and can’t—do.

I hope you’ll have fun with the kids and a cat as they ask questions and figure out how it all works.
