7th Heaven delivers us another dud as the Rev tries to become a televangelist. Simon tries to become a magician and the Colonel returns and the Colonel does not like magicians. Some other stuff happens and the interview for the televangelist obviously ends comically depending on your definition of comic. Hijinks hijinks hijinks. Originally published January 28, 2017.
Episode 210 made us laugh, cry, gasp, and cheer. Ok it may have only made us do some of those things, mostly laugh. In Truth or Dare Lucy ends up at a sleepover with the "cool girls" and they don't end up playing truth or dare in what is the disappointment of the decade. The Rev can't get his pants on and decides he needs to lose weight and Matt pays some guy that we'll never see again to take Mary on a date. Simon tries to teach Ruthie how to swim in a bathtub. Erin and Tanvee had very little to complain about in episode 209 of 7th Heaven, "I Hate You." The Camdens teach us in this episode that words mean things and things can hurt people or something. Mary and Lucy continue to be terrible and have even come up with a handshake to punctuate the awful things they say. Simon befriends a Holocaust survivor and Brenda Hampton pretty wisely and artfully employed a real Holocaust survivor to play the role, as well as used a real story as the character background. Episode 208 of 7th Heaven had us imploring the Camdens to "do something" so we guess the episode title was appropriate. Annie starts baking muffins for feminism because Mary and Lucy don't understand anything. However she quickly gives up because the Cookie Man demands too much from her. Matt gets the easiest job ever and then essentially renders himself unnecessary. Ruthie hustles Simon but in probably the nicest way possible because Camdens. Originally published January 18, 2017.
In this episode of CamdenCast, Erin and Tanvee find out Glen Oak is apparently home to a gang and if trouble is a-brewing in Glen Oak then the Reverend is a-meddlin', so business as usual on 7th Heaven. 7th Heaven gives us another miss with this episode as Lucy tries to exploit a classmate that potentially has an eating disorder for her own gain because Lucy is still awful and Erin confused her 90s light rock bands. CamdenCast coming at you with our last episode of the year! In season 2 episode 3, a bunch of people say I Love You to each other and some people don't. In the second episode of season two of 7th Heaven we find out that Ruthie is a super genius, there is a small "That 70's Show" reunion, and Brenda Hampton once again tries to address depression and suicide and fails miserably.
