Sandy Nichols started Alien Research Group in 1998 because he had experiences of being abducted which began when he was five years old.

He has taken DNA tests in an effort to find out if any of his genes are mutated. Three tests indicated that mutation had occurred.

Nichols has been excavating an Indian Ceremonial site on his property. He has found artifacts that are Aztec in origin.
